Astell&Kern Pathfinder in-Ear Monitors by Campfire Audio (Black)

Started my IEM journey with KZ AS06, moved to Sennheiser IE300, then Empire Ears Hero- these are a significant upgrade, and will be my end game (although I will keep all of them for variation). Using with Astell & Kern SR35 and they take a lot less power than the Empire Ear Hero, I do not need the gain on high. Had some issues finding the correct ear tips for them- I usually go with Spin Fit silicone tips, settled on foam set that were included (with several types of tips and sizes offered with the IEMs). There seems to be a great synergy with the SR35, a good helping of bass, nice mids and a slightly rolled off treble- possibly a bit of a U shape, some may describe the sound characteristics as. Currently going through reference tracks to get a full evaluation, but after first couple of days listening these are simply great. In terms of size, they are quite thick and do not sit snugly in the ear- they are noticeable from a distance- unlike say, the Sennheiser IE 300 which are tiny (and pack a solid punch) in comparison. Comfort levels seem fine, and I have worn them for around 4 hours in one stint, before I had to force myself to take them out and get some sleep! I have not covered many genres of music yet, however I would hope to update this review once I have time.
