Compared to JVC HA-EB75, good fit and good sound for podcasts, but not necessarily ideal for running
I have for the past few years been purchasing the Amazon best-seller JVC HA-EB75 (I use them constantly and I've got through about 5 pairs). My view was that if I'm buying headphones every 6-9 months I should keep them cheap, but not too cheap). I had thought that the JVCs were the only ones that would stay in my ears while I'm running, and that's why I stuck with them. But I thought I'd give these Panasonics a try, as they're only a teeny bit more expensive. Initially I was glad I made the switch, but I have now switched back to JVCs, and here's why.EAR FIT: The Panasonics seemed to fit much better and hang on the ears much better than the JVCs. However, after a while I noticed that the Panasonics started to fall out of my ears when I was running, and I realised that this is because of the way that wires feed into the earbuds. If you look at the picture, you'll see that the Panasonics (in white) are wired through the ear clip, whereas the JVC ones (in blue) are wired directly to the earbud. The important difference is that with the Panasonics if the wire moves when you run, the ear clip moves, and the earbud can fall out. With the JVCs, this doesn't happen. I ended up having to manually twist the earclip on the Panasonics to make them fit better around my ears. But the plastic of the earclip isn't designed to stay twisted, so I ended up having to twist it every time I went for a run, and often in the middle of a run. In the end, I got so fed up with this that I switched back to the JVCs. However, all ears are different, and everybody runs differently, so you might find that you have no problem with the Panasonics.SOUND: The Panasonics are noticeably louder than the JVCs, which is handy for listening to podcasts while walking down a busy road or on a train. However, the sound on the JVCs is smoother and more balanced, which is better for listening to music. If you're listening to podcasts more, then the Panasonics are probably better. Also important to note that the sound reproduction of headphones at this price can deteriorate over time, depending on how much you use them.

Cheap but not bad
Considering these cost £5.49, they're actually pretty decent. The sound quality isn't awful, and you can actually hear warmish bass, rather than the bad popping that ultra-cheap earphones usually produce. The plug/connector seems to be quite sturdy too so far... I've had a number of earphones that fail as the wire near the connector becomes lose, but suspect these will last longer than those. The clip mechanism does its job for my purpose... it keeps the earphone clipped around my ear. It's definitely not the most comfortable earphone, and the adjusting mechanism is a bit clunky. That all said, I'm very happy with them given the price. If you're looking for ultra-cheap earphones to use at the gym, then these fit that purpose.

Save your money unless you have big ears.
Well where do i start.... There should be a warning on these that unless you have big ears don't buy.I read a review that was really good about these and that is why i bought them. But i can say that unless you have big ears these wont fit. I was hopeful when i started out on my run but I spent the first half of my run trying to fix them to say in my ears because they kept falling out, then the second half of my run i ended up pulling them out and continuing on with no music. The sound is ok but what do you expect for the price, it would just be nice if they stayed in your ears to hear the sound. Another problem with them is that they are heavy in the wrong places. The part that goes in you ear is quite bulky and heavy and the rest is light weight and flimsy which is not a good combination.

These can't have been tested for long before production?
I don't see how these could have been actually worn by someone daily before the mass production run.The design choices:- Having the wire go through the "handle" bit that holds it to your ear is great for extending the lifetime of the wire... But it's terrible for actually keeping it in your ear. Whenever the wire gets pulled in any way except directly down (like when your running and the wire flaps about a bit), it just pulls the handle bit away from your ear and it falls off. Which defeats the purpose of having the handle bit. I've used standard earphones that stay in your ear better.- Add onto that the fact that having the wire go through that part turns these into literal hooks, means these earphones tangle if you even look at them funny. Much more than other ones with the handle part. If you ever drop your keys down a drain, fear not though since you can use these to fetch them out, albeit at the risk of never being able to untangle them from the headphones after- The idea of having no holes for water to get in except the tiny bit covered in the material is quite good to be honest, except the material seems to only be stuck on with hopes and dreams. The material fell off both ear pieces within a day or two, and it's had zero affect on the audio. The audio:- The audio is what you'd expect for an £8 set of earphones. Not the worst I've heard, but far from amazing.Comfort:- Other than having them fall out constantly, and not being able to clip an un-used one to the neck of your top like you can with 90% of other designs, they're comfortable enough.conclusion:go buy something else for a similar price and hope you don't have the same issues

They actually stay in my ears
These actually stay in my ears- both ears. I have a problem with wireless ear-buds staying in both ears. So, I need a wired set that consistently stays in both ears when I jog, lift, etc. These do just that. The sound quality is so-so, but it's consistent. If you have trouble finding ear-buds that stay in both of your ears, give these a try.
