Amityville Blu-ray Collection

Amityville horror is one of the best horror films for its time

Obviously none of the four movies in this set can rival films like the Exorcist or the Entity but they are all very easy to watch entries into the Amityville universe and believe me when i tell you that some of the subsequent films are so bad they are unwatchable. Atleast some thought was put into three of these films. So from a sentimental angle i recommend this set, particularly if you grew up in the late 70's, early 80's. The bonus features are quite interesting as well.

I only bought these for nostalgia. If you're a fan, get it as I'm sure you know what you're buying but if you've never seen those, you might be disappointed as these are low budget TV sequels and there are better horrors of this kind out there like Emily Rose or Conjuring.

As a lifelong Amityville fan,it was great that we finally get some of the sequels on Blu in the UK. The prints used are much,much cleaner than the old dvd releases, but I absolutely love the extras. Commentaries are in-depth and interesting interviews. For 4 films in a really nicely designed boxset,it's a must have for franchise fans.
