Works well with the usual proviso that it should never be assumed that a circuit is dead if the LED does not flash - always check tester on known live source. Build quality is more than adequate for home use and cannot be beaten for price. This is a worthwhile addition to home toolbox.

This price is unbeatable. Sure, the product isn`t a german made precision solid built < insert German car manufacturer here> but it is very good. Does exactly as it says and does it well. Very happy with it. I use it to confirm when power is going to my immersion heater from my solar panels.

Not great lasted a couple of weeks and then broke. I must say that it did work accurately however due to the poor build quality it didn't last that long. If you looking to buy this for DIY then it's absolutely fine otherwise spend a bit more.

if you need to know if a cable is live or not just touch it with the end of the stick and it lights up if live easy to use and it works well

Awesome, this works pretty accurate. Picks electricity even without touching appliances, when it's close enough. You should be careful not to have your finger on the white part when you're gonna test stuff, the manual warned about this and I complied. Generally really handy tool.

This item in my mind is for the home user as it is not a tool you would toss in and out of a tool box as a professional it needs to be handled with care. but it do's work but it could give out the wrong sensitivity to the complete amateur. But you only get what you pay for and it is very reasonably priced.
