I use this pretty much every day for my job, the pages are still useable even in the rain. The hard cover is very sturdy and has survived all the drops and things falling on it over time.

I'm a Geology student and have been using Chartwell notebooks for all my field trips. These are incredibly sturdy and won't fall apart when the weather is awful (and it often is), although I've found that it's difficult to write in pencil when the pages are wet from the rain. This notebook is presented vertically which typically not the geology format, but I've found it to be even more convenient to make use of space when doing full page sketches. Overall, it is quite pricey for a notebook but as a geologist it's worth it.

This is a fantastic waterproof paper notebook . Great for doing research in any wet places. Great for students, and you can use ordinary pencils .. Handy size to keep in pocket. A**

This book was recommended to me by a fellow site engineer to replace my traditional note book.I do wish I bought it from an actual store though as the book doesn’t exactly look new due to the black marks all over the cover, it looks quite dirty, not what I would expect considering the price I had to pay for it.

Can't go wrong with these. I used them in the field throughout my geology degree and they stand up to a huuge beating. A friend of mine even dropped his in a rock pool and it survived. Remember always to use pencil in the field though, ink pens will run when it rains.
