These earrings are very pretty and look like good quality, but all I did was try them on and could already feel that they are too heavy for comfort. I guess I'll use them for quick, short occasions. All stars taken off are for the weight.

They're my new favorites!For the price, I thought they would be hollow in the back; but they're solid - the same back and front, which really impressed me at first sight. Yet they're lightweight, and I don't notice I'm wearing them. Plus, the color of the gold is pleasing - so many of these inexpensive pieces of gold jewelry are an abrasive yellow, or even orange color.I chose this pair of hoops because I prefer them dangling; I like the movement - not hoops threaded through my earlobes with a tribal vibe. And I preferred the teardrop shape to regular circles.Usually, I don't like fishhooks because they look unfinished, but in this case, the hook is short enough in my earlobe that it looks just right. When I ordered them, I thought I'd replace the hooks with a pair of gold studs that I already have and would connect them with a jump ring. But I don't need to - I love them just the way they are! They're plain, simple, and elegantly perfect for casual through dressy. I'm thrilled with this find!

I ordered these earrings in black and in white and they are now in my suitcase heading for Ireland! They are very smart looking, as we would say in the old days, as the gold disk shows off against the black and looks like an ancient Roman coin. They work for casual dress nicely, perfect for the workplace, and will spiff up any outfit for evening. Good price, too!
