put the finger to the trigger
gave this ietem a workout on my canon 700D while doing some trypod closeup photos. It pleased me that the half way button press worked the auto focus ability the same as on the camera, and the full press did the shutter as per my want. Pleased with this as my hands can be a bit shaky and I use my trypod more these days. the lead is quite reasonable in length as well.

Very useful and a good price
A useful attachment. Very handy for when using a tripod, for taking shots without risking your hand on the shutter button causing movement. Maybe it's just me getting used to my camera, but I was still moving the camera by hand to get the best composition and focus. But once that's done, just click and shoot. It's quite a firm press needed, but then I wouldn't want my camera taking loads of shots because I inadvertently pressed the button. This remote isn't designed to do anything other than release the shutter, and it does that perfectly.Nice long lead attached too, and the camera shutter button still functions if you forget you've got this attached.

Remote shooting.
This isn't a Canon product, but is every bit as good as one. I bought it for an old EOS400 but now use it with my EOS760 and its working just fine. My only slight criticism is that its too easy to push the button and lock it in the down position, but its not a problem. Recommended and cheaper than the Canon one.

Brilliant product for the price
Brilliant product for the price. Yes it's cheap, and it feels a little cheap, but what do you expect. It takes photos, and has a hold function for bulb mode. The hold slider is a little loose (on mine at least) and it is easy to accidentally push it onto hold but this is only a problem in bulb. This issue can also be negated by holding the remote upside down. Does exactly what I need it to and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg.

Works well; perfect price
Ordered for my Canon 100D. Paid £4Works perfectly in Bulb mode locking into place for long exposures, and also works for taking general shots by pushing the button. Cable is long enough not to be a problem

Cheep but Cheerful.
Bought to replace a previous similar item (from a different brand/seller) which went rogueand started tripping out my camera. This one has a much longer cable which is infinitely more useful, and so far is working as it should. It feels flimsy, but then it cost next to nothing. Came with a free microfibre lens cloth which is nice and big and very soft and absorbent - cleans my lenses without the need for any kind of liquid.

Straightforward and uncomplex
There are many types of cable releases, with timers built in etc, but for simplicity and ease of use, this does the trick. Allows autofocus to function from a light touch then a firmer click takes the shot. Ideal piece of kit, especially for a learner to photography.

Lucky accident.
To be honest I bought this by mistake as I was in a hurry to catch a plane. I thought it was going to be a Canon release and not a generic but that said I did myself a favour as this works just as well as the Canon one it replaced. It is only used in my studio then again so was the other one.Would I recommend this? Yes I would.
