Zyliss Susi 3 Garlic Press - Aluminium Press with Built-in Cleaning Tool - Crusher, Mincer & Peeler for Unpeeled Garlic Cloves

This press works well and removes the skin in one go but it does require a fair bit of strength to squeeze the garlic through the grid. Unfortunately my wife finds it too difficult to use unless she removes the outer skin and only puts one small clove in at a time in order to reduce the angle she has to squeeze. If you can overcome that then this is an excellent garlic press.

Easy to use, easy to clean, no need to peel the clove.

The maker is a well known brand- which made me decide to order it. It is light and well made- however you need to use a lot of force to crush the garlic

Excellent garlic press. Easy to get the garlic skin out of the press. Nice and sturdy, good grip. Great price as the press is solid and comfortable to use.

This is the best garlic press I have ever had. Squeezes two small cloves sat once without having to peel. Crushed ginger pieces too without peeling. Not difficult to press even with my arthritic wrists. This is a game changer. Worth every penny

Having read all reviews, positive and negative, I was a bit concerned that I was wasting my money but I am thrilled with my new garlic press!!!! Not only does it work really really well (No need to peel, I put three cloves in and voila, press easy to squeeze, garlic came out easily and only left the empty skins behind - not a load of garlic- in the press), BUT I also found the blue plastic gadget brilliant for cleaning out the empty skins and pushing out any tiny bits of garlic left in the holes. Some reviewers say a press isn't neceessary but to really get the break down of cells required to release all the flavour does require a good bit of mashing, not just fine slicing or to be bashed with the side of a knife blade so I would definitely go ahead and buy one....I NEVER review items as I am a bit lazy but this is so good I had to!!! If it breakes I will report back but so far I love it. And what a good price too - I also looked at one that cost £35 but it got some terrible reviews too so I went with this one and very glad I am too.

Just what I was looking for. Perfect for pressing ginger in my tea. Easy to clean with the brush that comes with it. Absolutely love it

Im Gegensatz zu anderen Pressen, die ich im Leben hatte, ist für mich diese Zyliss (aus der Schweiz) die beste Knoblauchpresse überhaupt. Auch wenn man das Teil in den Geschirrspüler legt, was ja eigentlich nicht vom Hersteller freigegeben ist, hält es über etliche Jahre. Wurde nachgekauft, weil die erste nach ca. 10 Jahren im Einsatz angefangen hatte, gräuliche Aluminiumoxid Beimischungen abzuscheiden, weil sich die Beschichtung in den Löchern aufgerieben hatte. Das ist aber leider der normale Verschleiß von solchen Alu-Guss Teilen. Ich würde mich über eine Edelstahl-Edition freuen. Diese wäre dann aber so haltbar, dass es eine Marktschädigug gleichkäme... In der Anwendung ist es kinderleicht mehrere Zehen parallel oder nacheinander durchzudrücken. Die Auflagefläche ist groß genug, um den Druck auf die Handfläche zu verteilen. Auch besteht keine Gefahr, dass Teile der Hand dann zwischen die Griffe eingeklemmt werden. Die Druckplatte hat Stifte, damit auch der Inhalt der gesamten Knoblauchzehe ausgequetscht wird. Es bleibt nur die zähe Haut zurück, welche nach dem Einstecken des Plastik-Tools dann leicht unter fließendem Wasser aus der Kammer gespült werden kann. Als Tipp: Das Tool vor dem Pressen schon einmal raus nehmen, da es sich sonst lösen könnte und selbst gequetscht wird und dadurch kaputt gehen kann. Auch wenn bei meinem Teil leichte metallische Knackgeräusche vorhanden sind (beim Vorgänger nicht), die auf etwas Spiel zwischen dem Stempel und der Achse hindeuten, ist das Arbeitsergebnis jedes mal einwandfrei. Als Verbesserungsvorschlag an den Hersteller würde ich eine etwas scharfkantigere Seite an dem Plastikschaber empfehlen, um die Pressware abscheren zu können, da man mit einem Messer schon sehr aufpassen muss, um nicht die Antihaftbeschichtung zu beschädigen.

Tenía una prensa de ajo Zyliss que duro por más de 20 ańos. Este nuevo de Zyllss es menos fuerte, más delgado el aluminio,y como todo, hecho en China. No tengo nada en contra China, además el deseño es de Zyliss. Hace bien su trabajo. espero que me dure.
