UPVC Window Cable Restrictor Lock with Screws Child & Baby Safety Security Wire Tested to British Standards (White)

I bought this product basically so I can have my windows open a fraction - they open out onto the street and I worry that pedestrians might walk into them. These work a treat as I am able to have my windows open and locked. I can now be up stairs or out at the back, feeling secure and socially responsible. They came with an assortment of screws, some of which had an additional piece attached which acted as a means of "drilling" into the plastic frame. They took approximately 5 minutes to attach to my windows. I like them so much I'm thinking of buying a brown one for my sister's downstairs window as she has the same problem with pedestrian traffic.

Easy to install and supplied with two different sets of fixings so you can choose the correct ones for your material. No instructions come with the product, but they are laid out on the amazon listing. I had to search which screws to use for upvc (the ones without the point) but no issues at all. It would have been nice to have two keys supplied but it's no big deal. All in, very happy with quality of the product

Very happy with this purchase. Super easy to install and works a treat. I replaced a plastic slider style child lock with this. It is very sturdy and secure.

Really easy to install and allows us to have windows open wider with our kids around. I don't want to test the strength of them with the kids around but they look like they could prevent an serious accidents with kids or dog falling out!

Got this delivered today and had it installed within minutes, very strong, well built. Only has one key but not to hard to get a second one cut, my window drops back to let air in form the top but also opens up all the way inword so I fitted the lock at the bottom to allow a little more space for the window to open.

We needed this as our loft window was blowing open in the wind to the extent that we couldn't reach out to pull it shut without resorting to ropes and broom handles two stories up . This will do the trick very well , it was very easy to fit and allows the window to open just the right amount , We had a problem with the lock mechanism though ,it kept jamming in one position and took an age and lots of cursing to open it or close it again , Fortunately we don't need to open it and it can stay in the locked position , or we would have needed to return it . I presume this is not a regular problem as no one else has mentioned it , The provided screws are a bit on the long side but they just managed . Hopefully no matter how strong the wind gets it will stay stay in position , it seems strong enough .

I think, given the spare bits you get with this, and the finished quality of the handle itself, that this is very good value. It's a doddle to fix as a replacement for any standard size UVPC window lock. Would recommend.

Prodotto ottimo. Utilizzato per tenere chiuso un frigorifero e farlo utilizzare solo agli utenti che hanno la chiave. Montato senza difficoltà, ha però solo una chiave In dotazione.

Produit très correct, conforme à la description. Je l’ai posé facilement sur mes fenêtres en bois, et vu la taille du câble, les enfants n’arrivent même pas à passer la tête. On laisse les fenêtres ouvertes sans crainte, et c’est pratique aussi pour éviter qu’elles ne claquent avec les courants d’air. Les clés et les vis fournies sont de bonnes qualité. Super rapport qualité / prix.

Una vera sicurezza. Di ottima fattura, li ho fissati direttamente all'alluminio degli infissi e devo dire che finalmente sono più tranquillo.

Je voulais pouvoir laissée ouverte la nuit une porte-volet en bois pour laisser entrer l'air sans risque d'intrusion. J'ai fixé la partie serrure sur la porte-volet et l'autre extrémité sur le mur. Je n'ai pas utilisé les vis fournies (4 pour le bois et 4 pour le PVC). Dommage qu'il n'y ait qu'une seule clé (du coup je l'ai attachée à un porte-clé pour être sûre de ne pas l'égarer) et j'aurais aimé qu'il y ait des caches sur les vis. Néanmoins je trouve cet entrebâilleur de belle qualité et efficace pour le prix payé : 6,48€.
