5 STAR PURCHASE
great tool for finding lost bike can be used in cars instead of AirTag as doesn’t come up on iPhone as following

Knog tracker/alarm
Really like it and easy to use. Only problem is the Bluetooth range is very short. Apart from that it’s great. 👍🏾

Find bike via Apple’s Find My and scare off potential thieves with autonomous audible alarm
Very useful product and great value for money. No subscription required. Device location knowable when in range of other Apple i devices. The audible alarm can be disabled whilst still providing an alert on ones iPhone. Sensitive to movement but insensitive to wind if bike mounted stably.

Two delivered broken, fingers crossed for third time
The first Knog Scout I was delivered setup exactly as per instructions and worked for a day and then wouldn't connect. After factory resetting it would be found in the Knog App but then no longer connected to Apple Find My. Returned it for a replacement which was dead on arrival. No sound on connecting the charging cable, didn't show up in app and no signs of Bluetooth connectivity. Didn't respond to factory reconnect. Now returning that and awaiting my second replacement and third delivery. Will hopefully be able to revise this review upwards if I can get a Knog Scout that actually works. Shame, because I like the form factor and for the brief time the first delivery worked it seemed like a good product. Hoping I've just been unlucky with quality control.

Very impressed
Works well with “Find My”. Good range (enough to connect anywhere in the house with the bike in the garden). Easy to set up. Discrete when mounted below bottle cage. No complaints at all.

ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW...
Really weird packaging. Very easy to throw away the bolts and little spanner thing which are very cleverly concealed in the cardboard packaging. Biggest failing is that they don't include any printed instructions whatsoever so you're trying to read the manual on your phone whilst also trying to set up the device on your phone. Setting up is very touch and go and needed several attempts before success. You need to have the new style USB-C plug and cable to charge it and if you haven't already got one you're stuck because they don't include one.But the upside is that the device is absolutely brilliant and ticks a lot of boxes! Hides away nice and discretely under the water bottle cage as a covert device. Or put it's bright yellow jacket on if you want it to be really conspicuous. Control of the device and the arming and disarming of the alarm is done from your iPhone and is fairly intuitive. The level of sensitivity of the motion detector is adjustable and works well. A slight movement will make it give a warning bleep; A bigger movement will make it go into full alarm. The default alarm is a pathetic bleep on a par with your washing machine telling you it's finished. But put it on alarm version no.5 and turn the volume up and it's a much better alarm type sound that would make nearby people turn to look. If your bike gets hi-jacked you could also activate the alarm to draw attention to him as he rides off on your bike. Simultaneously with the alarm it transmits a warning to your iPhone that your bike is being tampered with. Don't expect a tremendous range, but certainly adequate if your bike is outside and you are inside a coffee shop. But the best bit, if some low life actually runs off with your bike you can track his progress on your iPhone in the 'Find My' app as an 'item'. Overall, it is a really good supplement to a traditional bike lock and chain but gives you the added confidence that nobody is tampering or stealing the lights off your bike when parked within reach but out of sight.I would recommend it. Research prices though - they vary quite a bit even within different Amazon sellers. Aim for around £40 if you want a good price.

Great peace of mind bike accessory
Useful bit of kit that I use for peace of mind to alarm and track the location of my bike thru their app (which also links to find my things on iPhones)Bit frustrating that it didn’t come with a charging cable!

Doesn’t have a wide range
Was very easy to install in the bike and it wouldn’t be very noticeable to a thief. Unfortunately the range on the device doesn’t appear to be very far at all.

Basically an Airtag for double the price
Its okay, but not for that amount of money, 30euro max.Its very quietIts goes off even off slightest movement. Its easy to install and secured with secure bolts (1 star)Apple FindMy (2 star)Rechargable (3 star)Alarm goes off on the phone as well, only when u are around 30 meters around it (So basically useless)In total i would not recommend it, only if u want to spend an insane amount of money on just an airtag which is rechargable and secured to the bike ( Alarm is useless )
