I have a large compressor, which is fed by a cable from the cigar lighter, and although works well, is a pain having to plug it in and keep ignition on. This on the other hand is cordless.I tested it on my rear tyres by partial deflating and re inflating them, all worked as i had expected, not too loud and turned off when pressure reached. I checked it with my cars built in tyre pressure monitor and it was exactly correct, so all good. I also found that the tyre pressure, if you set it on the unit and save it, will be there when you restart it. So others complaining it doesn’t keep the settings are wrong. All instructions are very helpful, explaining how to change from psi to bar, only slight negative comment, it doesn’t explain how to charge, but as with so many other rechargeable things it became evident when charging battery level blinks, and when charged stops blinking simple really. Good value, nice handy size and easy to use, with older style valve connection, and no horrible screw on type.

It works extremely well, and the weight of it suggests to me this tyre inflator could last a long time. Also, easy to put in your saddle bag, so you've always got a speedy pump for emergencies. A good buy. Recommended. Thank you.

I ended up buying the CXY Inflator after first ordering and returning a R**G product which (as several reviews had warned) refused to accept full charge. As it turns out, that was a very lucky break as the CXY is pretty much perfect for my needs, primarily topping up motorcycle and car tyres. The pressure accuracy is spot-on, the controls are simple and easy to use, and the battery seems more than capable of topping up 12+ vehicle tyres without running out of beans. I also like the robust feel and compact size of the unit - small enough to stow away on a motorcycle trip - and the USB charging is the most convenient way of re-charging. That said, there are a couple of simple improvements I would like to see: 1. The inflator hose is a little short to allow user to rest the unit flat on the ground while inflating vehicle tyres. Another 200mm length would be beneficial. 2. The hose tends to come loose (ie. unscrew) where it screws into the inflator - I'd like to see a redesigned o-ring seal which grips more tightly. Appreciate the hose is designed to be removable, but the joint should stay tighter than it does. 3. The finish on the aluminium body is attractive but can be easily scuffed so I'd like to see rubber pads applied to the back to protect the unit when rested on the ground. I'll be fixing some self adhesive rubber pads to mine. OK, not a big deal, but nice to keep the unit looking good. All in all though, I'm very impressed with the CXY, appears to be great value for money.

I already have a foot pump and a 12v pump both by Michelin , I bought this unit to keep in the car for emergencies, have a habit around where we live of picking up slow punctures , works very well a little slow but does the job and easy to use.
