Hard to put down...
I started Kingdom on a Monday morning and was finished by Wednesday afternoon. The book is engaging from the start and it doesn't make you wait too long for sparks and spice. I was so satisfied with the representation of BDSM and also the recognition that there are people out there that don't know what they are doing. Or don't understand it. The characters were relatable and the plot is exciting, juicy and intriguing.

Not for me.
This book made me realize….I don’t think I have a submissive bone in my body.I liked Nas for the most part. He was sweet to Alina and a gentleman when he needed to be. Stuck up for her when he definitely didn’t need to.I did not, however, like Alina. She seems so put together, smart, competent, and professional - but then she makes the dumbest decisions and does the stupidest things and I’m just like ???????WHY is she engaging with her ex in front of her new boyfriend that way? Major secondhand embarrassment at every exchange they had. She doesn’t handle any of it well.WHY did she walk around a messed up dress AT A WORK EVENT????????????????????WHAT did she think he was writing about after they finished their scenes????? He even said he takes inspiration from real life - that means you, baby girl! He’s an author! I understand being upset that he wasn’t honest about it right off the bat, but flying into a murderous rage is weird behavior. Also - her annoyance with the fans at the end of the book annoyed me. She did the same thing at the beginning of the book. Calm down.As far as writing goes - this was good. Overall I liked the writing style, and the spice was nice. A lot of times dialogue between characters felt unnatural though. They say a lot of things to over explain what they are doing.

Freaking Amazing!
This book is amazing. It pulls you in, like you're in the lives of the characters. The words are everything, the characters, the story! My emotions were on edge! From laughing to being upset to crying. Such a great read! Amazing author, and I will be reading more from him! Hands down.

If you love BDSM in your romance...
WS Greer is my first male romance author and Kingdom was a first book of his I read. I have to say, I will definitely be adding more of his books to my TBR. I enjoyed reading about Nasir and Alina. If you love BDSM in your romance, you will definitely enjoy this story.Normally, I prefer romance books in Dual POV but this was a first romance where this was all in the FMC's POV which was a bummer because I would have loved to have been in Nasir's head. In a way, this worked because we got glimpses of Nasir's POV when Alina receives a manuscript that she reads we but still...I really would have loved to know what went on in our Dom's head, especially during their scenes.Speaking of scenes, those spicy moments will definitely have you blushing. One scene may be a little hard for readers as it deals with a CNC play. I was unbothered but for some readers, it could be a hard one to read and I suggest to skip past it if you must. (This would be in Chapter 30)What I loved most is how Alina has these kinks and desires that she wants but she feels she has to hide because according to society, they are wrong and women shouldn't be into it until Nas gives her the confidence to accept that is who she is and she should own it. I felt that in my soul as I, in a way similar to Alina, have some of the "darkness" but because I was brought up to learn that it's something you shouldn't desire, or want more of, especially as a female. Sex is made to be "bad" and we need to start recognizing it as it's a natural part of life. It's how we reproduce but it's also how we connect with our spouses/partners and we should be able to enjoy it, explore what we like and not be ashamed for it.Some parts seemed a bit repetitive but overall this was a great read. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will be adding more WS Greer books to my TBR :)

Loved this book. I think it would be really cool if we got a book from Nasrr’s point of view. It was so well written and I couldn’t put it down!

Éducatif mais...
J'ai trouvé qu'il avait un fond éducatif, mais cela reste stéréotypé.J'ai également pas apprécié qu'elle se remette avec lui malgré sa découverte, je trouve ça toxique.

Okay
A good story but nothing to lose my head about. New to me male author with potential I’m positive can be developed. It was interesting to read a romance written by man, he definitely writes respectfully for the genre.Good writing with nice plot twist, I couldn’t relate too much to the characters, some development in the characters growth was lacking.

I've got questions!?
This book is a page turner. I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS. How true is this to the authors personal life story 🤭. The way the protagonist was reading parts of the books that I have read I was telephoned in to the living room of the protagonist reading over her shoulders. I highly recommend you to read and enjoy.

Love your darkness
This is my first read by this author. I don't think I have read a book by a male author in this genra it was refreshing and a phenomenal read. I loved how it was written articulated perfectly. I liked how I was falling down this hill with Alina for Nas, the highs and low's and that ending was different to what I thought it would be. I Highly recommended this bookI can't wait to read more of WS Greer's books.
