Britain's Best Political Cartoons 2017: Tim Benson

I had bought several newspaper cartoon books at ChristmasThis book is meant to contain a selection of cartoons from various artists and papers.The artists from the Telegraph is Davey and Blower, but I was disappointed that it had no work from my two favouriet telegraph cartoonists, Matt and Bob Moran.It felt like buying a pint of unhomgonised milk and someone have removed the cream from it.

Excellent variety of newspaper cartoons selected, both sides of political spectrum represented, summary paragraphs helpful for remembering the news story. I love these, so do my kids.

Would have prefer a full 2021 cover and a better paper finish . Otherwise a good book with a reminder of the context below each cartoon

A fine selection, once again.

This was less funny than I'd expected. It's a selection of cartoons from different artists and there is one per page so each is quite big. There's then a bit of text underneath about the cartoon or the political issue, with a comment from the cartoonist. It's probably more of interest to people who want to know how cartoons are created than just looking for a laugh. I'd have preferred a book with more cartoons - a few to a page, as we all find different things funny so the more that are included, the more likely you are to laugh. Overall not a bad book and some of the cartoons are funny, but I wouldn't go for this again next year.
