WINGONEER® Tiny DS3231 AT24C32 I2C Module Precision Real Time Clock Module For Arduino

Works out of the box, no problems

Needed a simple and widely supported I2C device, delivered quickly, to help with the debugging of a circuit. Arrived next day with simple packaging. There are no instructions, but the chip itself is a standard one and you can find plenty of references online.

for some reason, they decided to add some circuitry to charge whatever is in the battery holder, which is a very bad idea since e. g. 3V lithium batteries aren't meant to be charged at all, in particular not at 5V (when the module is connected to an arduino). i'd suggest to unsolder the diode and/or resistor or, alternatively, use a hi-cap instead of the battery.take a look in the arduino forums (where people have reported batteries going bad with this kind of module), in case it's not obvious what to do. personally, i just removed the charging part and it is working well for me.

Molto soddisfatto, ho provato il modulo con varie librerie e tutte rispondono correttamente. Il modulo inoltre mi è arrivato con la pila CR2032 già inserita e ad essere sincero non avevo capito che era compresa... meglio così. ;-)

Nach kurzer Google Recherche für die passende Bibliothek ließ sich die Uhr an meinem Arduino Mega problemlos in Betrieb nehmen. Sie war sogar schon auf die richtige Zeit eingestellt. Den eingebauten Flash Speicher habe ich bisher nicht verwendet, das kommt aber mit Sicherheit noch. Top wenn man Uhrzeit und Datum in seinem Projekt verwenden will.
