Creative Wax Carving: A Modern Approach to an Ancient Craft with 15 Jewelry Projects

Just started lost wax carving and Andrew berry r commended this book in one of his YouTube videos. The book has 40 projects categorised as not different levels - easy, intermediate etc. There are also some stencils to photocopy and the back of the book. It is a beautiful book, full of lots of tips and advice. I would prefeR it if the pictures were larger and there were more instructions, with photos and drawings as sometimes I get lost half way through.

There is a good list of tools and descriptions of materials but not enough detail about cleaning the stuff up. The projects are a bit shabby. I didn't find the book very inspiring. The pictures are very brown.

I am always open to new crafts and with just a few tools and some wax this is a craft that I think I might be able to master.Creative Wax Carving is a beautiful hard backed book that is filled with a wonder of wax creations.  Some are very simple in their design and others are a little more trying.  Each project is stunning and honestly do not look as though wax is the main ingredient. They are beautiful and just amazing.This is a book filled with information and advice. It is also good for inspiration and the actual wax process is explained in clear precise instruction. Creative Wax Carving is a good first book, it is well written and I think gives us a lesson in what is possible for a first time wax crafter. Watch this space.
