My child broke their laptop last year so with the purchase of a brand new laptop I wanted a hard shell case for them to carry their laptop to and from school. This case is perfect. It is still very thin and not much padding inside, however it's the hard-shell exterior that I was searching for.It has a sleeve inside that you definitely need to slide the laptop into before carrying it around, and you have to open the case up completely to get laptop out.Only other complaint is it doesn't have a handle on it so that would have been nice as my kids like to carry it vs leave throw it into their bags.
