Klean Kanteen Wide Mouth Single Wall Stainless Steel Water Bottle with Leak Proof Stainless Steel Interior Cap

I'm glad other reviewers posted pics of what they got, because that's what I wanted: taller and slimmer than pictured in the ad, so it fits in more places. I ordered two, and when they came I turned around and ordered two more. The ad doesn't give dimensions, so here they are: 9.75" tall x 2.75" in diameter at base. Fits in my outer purse pocket, car console, car door, kayak drink holder, and most importantly in my bike water bottle cage nice and snug. No leaking, no taste, and super easy to keep clean without the sport lid. Won't taste like plastic when left for an hour in a hot car like other bottles. Wide mouth for adding ice and ease of cleaning. I like the single-walled bottles because they're lighter and there's more room for water instead of the vacuum, threads on the outside of the lid, and the sturdiness of the lid. Plus the environmental impact of sustainable reuse. And I trust the Klean Kanteen name. What's not to love?

Bought this specifically because it is stainless steel and has internal stainless feature as well. It is not insulated, but I do drink my water at room temp so that is fine with me. What I love is that because no plastic comes in contact with the water, the bottle does not get that "moldy" smell. I have others with plastic tops that I've had to throw out because of the smell even after washing well after each use. Definitely recommend for cleanliness factor and good size bottle, not too big or too small. Would by another.

I had to replace a smaller klean kanteen water bottle that fell out of my backpack near the top of Mt Marathon in Seward AK (I hope someone found it and was able to put it to good use). This water bottle is great. I really like the size. It’s not too big that it is a pain to carry, but it is plenty big enough to last awhile without refilling. I like that the water bottle is uninsulated, so I can use it to boil water if I am ever in a survival situation. I wish the lid was also stainless steel, but other than that this water bottle is perfect for me.

I've been using this for about a month or so now (trying to up my daily water intake as of late).The main notes I've made about this bottle are:(1) It's easy to clean, being stainless steel.(2) It hasn't ever leaked for me, though I wouldn't intentionally place it with important documents, or in a position where it would be lying on its side or upside down.(3) Being made of metal definitely makes it durable, particularly because it's unlikely to crack. But being metal also means that dents and scratched could be a thing. I haven't noticed any on my bottle, but I only take it to the office and back home. Using it during hiking etc. is likely to result in more wear and tear, naturally.(4) Packing was superb, bottle arrived in perfect shape and on time.(5) The first time I used it, there was a metallic scent present, which I suppose isn't totally unexepcted. With more use, the scent is slowly disappearing, but I wish it would've been gone by now.As I notice more things, I'll update the review, but so far, so good!

This is a great versatile water bottle. It is NOT meant to keep your water super cold or hot for long periods of time. It is UNINSULATED for a reason. It can be used to transport water and boil it in your fire to make any water source drinkable. Of course you must remove the top cover to do this. Very durable with many uses and a great size.

This is perfect for use is your hiking/emergency pack. Its single walled construction makes it great for boiling water if needed and its plastic cap has a removable rubber seal ring to ease cleaning and keep your purified water inside the container while you are on the move. The cap is plastic but has a stainless steel liner so your liquids never touch plastic. Obviously dont put the plastic cap back on the container right after you have boiled water in it lol.

Just got another one as a spare. Good, sturdy single wall bottle. The lid doesn't leak, which is what really matters and stands up to the abuse we put them through. Throw a cheap stainless cup from the camping junk at Wally world in your pack with it as a nesting cup and grab a fish mouth spreader from the fishing aisle and you're all set for cooking and boiling water out in the wild. It works great and it's cheap. If you feel the need for something "better" than this, waste your cash on a titanium set.
