Yes and no ??
So I was looking for something to keeo my very active playful cat busy. The reviews sold me on it as all the cats on the videos seemed to like it. Mine on the other hand... when it's off yes, he wants to bite at it and play with the feather. Once on he jumps up and perches looking down at it. He ran a couple times after it and it is really good at running itself around. It got under the couch and got itself back out. Although if it hits and lands on 1 wheel it does get stuck. The attachments are cute. The charging is easy. Fast and slow modes. Maybe mine is just too freaked out right now by it hopfully he will start to see it's a toy and like it if not I'll gift it to my sister who also has cats. :) better for kittens probabaly as they are eager to learn and explore. They may find it more fun (?) Good buy though. I dont regret it.

This feels like an early prototype of a be potentially amazing toy
I'll give it this, when it works, it is probably the single greatest thing my cat has ever chased after. Sadly, it just has some flaws that limit what this could be.First, as others have stated, the attachments are incredibly flimsy. Although I'm not sure I would want them to be really that much sturdier else it could damage something, or possibly hurt the cat. I'd prefer a thicker base that tapered out, and more than just four spares.Second, it has a tendency to tip on its side if it hits something right. Unfortunately it will never right itself on its own. It will just spin one wheel up in the air until you or your cat fixes it. Some better shaped wheels, and an off axis weight to one could have solved this.Third, the two speed modes are too similar and neither is perfect. The slow mode is a little to fast for hard floors, and the fast mode is a little too slow for carpets. The cat still likes it, but it could be better. And last, it needs some more smarts. Essentially this thing just goes forward and back a couple feet than twirls a random amount and continues the process. It does work it's way out of most tricky spots, but it will inevitably get stuck. If they made a more technical version of this, I would be all for it. I feel that it needs a way to sense certain situations. Like, it's almost there. It really is. It just needs a little bit more tech in it and this would be a great toy.As it is right now, if you have a fairly large open area for this to roam, it will likely be great for your cat. Like a 6'x6' area of open carpet, or double on hardwood would be plenty. I would recommend it in this scenario. If you don't have space, or if you have a lot of things this could get caught in, don't bother.

Great toy for cats with one major flaw
I have 3 cats that I usually don't have time to play with enough. So this toy seemed perfect! Runs around on it's own and rarely gets stuck. Comes with a few plastic rods to attach the various feathers etc to. There is one flaw though that others have mentioned also. As it randomly runs around and changes direction, it will stop, then spin in a circle very fast. This tends to smack my cats in the face, at which point they back off and don't chase it for a while. If they programmed it to not violently spin every few seconds, this would be the perfect toy.

Moves to fast and my cats didn’t like it

Plastic tail is easily chewed through
Work pretty well. Would be nice if it could avoid obstacles. The plastic tail doesn't last long. Cat chewed through them all in just a few days.

Entertaining
Entertaining. My cat loves it. The only issue we had was it got stuck in the recliner for a couple hours until we found it, thank goodness it has a bell.
