So good!
Really enjoyed this book. Lydia and James work together and try to keep their attraction to one another under control. When Lydia sees Masque in the club he interest in being sub is raised and she dives into that life with a friend. One thing leads to another and we'll, it's just a great story! Really enjoyed it.

the book lives up to its name
Let me start off by saying I’m also a sub, and while my practices differ, I wholly adored this book. I read every bit, even the things that didn’t personally appeal to me because I genuinely was into everything about this book. Jade West did a fantastic job-on a faster scale- of capturing the struggle people in the community face because let’s be honest, if you don’t do it you don’t understand. I loved the characters and their chemistry.I also connected deeply to Lydia and her struggle to open up, the fear of losing her strength. Also I really liked that she only fully opened up once their emotional connection strengthens because that’s sooo important for trust in dynamics. However, my one thing, a BIG thing, is the total lack of aftercare. I understand that the author may not have intended for this to be especially realistic, I think it’s so important to address that aftercare is an integral part of any dynamic and any time you scene you absolutely need that check in and soothing-on both sides. It’s a huge red flag in any dynamic if you’re not receiving aftercare and for anyone curious after and not familiar please know that and please do your research!

So good
Every book by this author is so good. It’s filthy and beautifully written. I’ve never really understood the appeal of masochism, and Jade just gets it and makes it intimate, beautiful, and human. I still don’t think it would ever be my thing, but really appreciate the insight and storytelling.

spot on
This is exactly what it says it is. Dirty. Bad. Wrong. Don’t expect anything other than spicy scenes. Great pallet cleanser!

5 Extreme Stars
This book blew my mind. I knew I liked dark and gritty and dirty. I had no idea just how much I liked all those things in the extreme. Dirty Bad Wrong was exactly like its title depicts. If you don't like kink, like Dirty Bad Wrong kind of kink, avert your eyes. You'll be missing out though.I first saw this book when one of my Goodreads buddies was posting status updates while she read this book. The quotes were way out there in regards to my comfort level, at least what I thought my comfort level was before reading those. My interest was seriously piqued after the second quote and by third I had one clicked this bad boy and was devouring it. And by devouring it, I mean I stayed up all night finishing this book with only a slight (erm, uh, ya know) "break". This book was sexy to the extreme and I mean that in multiple ways.James Clarke is the CTO of the company that Lydia Marsh works for. One morning Lydia's whole life implodes. She finds out that her long term boyfriend cheated on her and got the girl pregnant. Left homeless without much of her own since she lived with her boyfriend in his house, she finds herself at work very early that day. In walks James catching her in a weak moment crying for all she's lost. Both are very intrigued by each other and soon after their initial run in they are teamed up together for a project. During their business trips, they find even more ways in which they like each other though both have lots of hidden secrets. Eventually James introduces Lydia to his friend Rebecca and she moves in with her.Things begin to heat up when Rebecca takes Lydia to Explicit a BDSM club. There Lydia sees Masque for the first time and is drawn to his very extreme use of pain. It is leashed the subordinate nature she has pushed down. For some this may seem inappropriate, but I didn't see it that way at all. Everything that happened was consensual and in no way life threatening or debasing. Sure it looks crazy from the outside looking in, but Jade West did such an excellent job of writing the story that I lost myself it it and in their world. One thing I wish would have been addressed a bit more was Katreya. She is mentioned a couple times as a very important and integral part of James' past but we're just kind of left hanging with regards to what happened there. More than anything I'm just curious because it really didn't affect the relationship aspect between Lydia and James. There was some angst but in the end we really do get a sweet love story in addition to all the crazy sex. Seriously that last scene was probably one of the most perfect ending scenes I've read because it perfectly showed the love and devotion between two people who yearned for pain and tears during the most intimate act between two people.I see there's another book in this series about another couple. I can only beg Jade to write a follow up to James' and Lydia's story. Most of the time I love standalones because I like knowing they got their HEA but this story is just so unique that a follow up a few years down the road would be fascinating. Seeing how James and Lydia integrate their unusual tastes into everyday life would be so gratifying and very interesting. Now I'm off to stalk Jade and see what else she up has up her sleeve. I'm initiated into this crazy world now and I don't want to let go.

A Good Story With A Dark Side
Definitely not a read for the squeamish. At the heart of Dirty Bad Wrong is an unconventional love story with a twist that will take you beyond your comfort zone. Two damaged people meeting via work, and although they don't realise it, falling in love. Lydia has been badly hurt by her ex and James has been betrayed by his wife. They keep their working relationship strictly professional but James has a dark side to his private life that he shares with very few people. He's into BDSM in a big way, not just your fluffy handcuffs and a few whips and chains. He's into hurting his subs until they cry. Lydia is introduced into this world by James's friend whom she flat shares with. Now although most of the scenes appealed to me, the excessive violence I have to admit I found too much. I've never been to a BDSM club and neither have I any wish too, so I don't know how much of this story is correct or greatly exaggerated. For me some of the more violent scenes seemed OTT. For a book of this nature it is extremely well-written, something way above and beyond anything similar. The author can certainly write and puts together a good story with great characterisation, except for one thing. The thing that didn't sit true with the character of Lydia is how, from being a fairly shy and reserved girl, she suddenly becomes Miss Potty Mouth 2015. She'd have been far more appealing if she'd quit the effing and jeffing all over the place. Most people swear, but personally I found that was overdone. Saving it for the sex scenes would have been enough. But as I said, the book is very well-written and nothing like anything else of its genre.

Not usually my cup of tea but I drank it all up!!
OH.MY.GOD!!!!!!!!!!!! This novel is ABSOLUTELY NOT for the faint-hearted – it is the most hardcore thing I’ve read! It's not usually my cup of tea but I drank it up, all the same! The author says that she’s a real life submissive and, honest to goodness, she certainly knows her stuff. But, you know what? In amongst the hardcore stuff, there’s an absolutely great story about taking risks, being out of your comfort zone, discovering your hidden self, letting go, trust, and most of all about love.Lydia is private, in control, and old beyond her years, due to a troubled upbringing.James is equally private, hardworking, and gorgeous - ‘Mr Perfect’.James is inexorably drawn to Lydia when he finds her sobbing in the staff kitchen, one morning. Her inadvertent show of pain and weakness feeds a need in him. A work trip away shifts things between them, and Lydia soon finds out James biggest secret, as well as a hidden need she realises about herself. James’ golden rule is to never get involved with a work colleague, but Lydia presents him with a plan to make things work between them. However, the personal/work line eventually begins to blur.I found this book shocking, kinda gross(!!), hot, and quite emotional. I couldn’t put the darn thing down and read it in half a day.Dirty. Bad. Wrong. So true but so good!

loved it!!!
Ive loved all of Jade Wests book that I’ve read me this is no exception. I love how she seamlessly blend kink and smut with raw hardcore emotions don’t get me wrong I love a good smut book that’s lite on plot just as I love an emotional book lite on the smut. But bringing them both together so effortlessly you can’t ask for more. Well worth a read wether your looking for something dirty or something with depth it has both.

So dirty, so bad, so wrong but I so bloody loved it !
This book does exactly as it says on the tin, this book is so dirty, it's so bad and some of it is so wrong but I so enjoyed it ! The author does give a warning at the beginning stressing the levels of sex in this book, over 50% of this book is sex and it's not the romantic kind it's the dirty kind, if you can't handle that then this book is not for you ! To be honest when I read that warning I was in two minds whether to carry on but I decided to push my boundaries and I so glad I did because I found a book unlike any thing I've ever read before.Lydia has just discovered that boyfriend has not only been cheating on her but got the girl pregnant. While dragging her suite case into work she bumps into the James Clarke the office hottie. He's hot but fiercely private never letting work colleagues get to close, but when he sees Lydia crying something stiffs in James making Lydia impossible to resist. But James harbours a secret, he leads a double life, suite Monday - Friday, pain inflicting Dom by weekends but will Lydia let pain become a part of her life for James' love ?As I said this book is unlike anything I've ever read, it's rude, crude and at times downright dirty but it was also fascinating to take a peak into a world I know very little about, and at times made me blush especially when reading sex scenes on the bus !!!!!I really enjoy Lydia and James' journey as it's not the normal unicorns and rainbows romance but raw and damn real ! Well done Jade West for writing something different, can't wait to read more from this talented author.

So very dirty, bad, wrong
Well I don't think I've ever read a book that matches it's book title so accurately before in the nearly 600 books I've read these past few years! Is it dirty? 100%- forced gagging water to make it like sick is particularly dirty. Is it bad? The main hero character is definitely as close to bad as you could get.Is it wrong? Well in my opinion weeing on someone while they drink it is wrong in my mind (nothing against people who enjoy that at all).So why is this book so good?? I couldn't honestly answer but to say in all it's 'dirty bad wrong' it felt so utterly right! This to me is a sign of great writing. Even I could feel turned on by things that never in a million years id do (the weeing comes to mind). And the characters are so utterly perfect for each other that you can't help but want a perfect HEA for them.Where the sex scenes are pretty full on, that's not the only emphasis of the book- there's a beautiful love story of two people struggling with their own issues but finding solace in each other.I can not say enough how addictive this book was- it's not one you can put down easily at all. 100% recommend and it's a standalone, another absolute bonus amount this culture of waiting forever for sequels.
