Simple, comfortable, easy to use and good value.This is a head torch, nothing else and that is what is good about this, no gimmicks no expensive add ons and therefore it's great for the people who want a torch that is easy to use and effective that you don't have to hold therefore leaving both arms free.There are 5 lighting modes including low and high light in normal light, flashing light and two red modes to preserve night vision for the ninjas amongst us.Personally I use the lights for domestic use and emergencies as I don't have a light in my attic and that's what I use this for, it's sat permenantly on the inside of the attic hatch and enables me to do what I need to do and see clearly when I go into the attic.This pack comes with two torches, therefore I have the second in a kitchen drawer for emergencies such as a power cut.But if you want it for camping, running etc I'm sure this would be great.It's comfortable, but does not come with padding behind the main torch.The strap is easy to adjust.Easy to use buttons.Great production of light, sufficient for normal needs.

I make a large number of purchases through Amazon and I write a lot of Amazon reviews.They are based on my personal opinions gleaned as a result of decades of experiences in a professional occupation, as a consumer, a property owner and raising a family.This IPX6 Waterproof Red / LED head torch is sold through Amazon at a cost of £7.99 as a prime item.Prime items come with a promise of included next day delivery.You cannot rely on the next day delivery promise.There is no indication as to any potential additional postage charges applicable to non prime members.It is battery powered by three (3) AAA batteries which are supplied.Installation of the batteries is very straight forward. There are two switches. One controls the white central light, the other the red lights whichare positioned to either side of the white led.The white light beam is controlled bright to brighter to flashing dependant upon the number of pushes. The red light is static or flashing onceagain dependant upon the number of button presses.The headband is a single length of thin lightweight elastic which will in my opinion loose its elasticity with use. There is a buckle to adjustto fit around the head.The light is reasonably light but I have found that the thin elastic strap combined with the weight of the unit means that it will very likely move around on the head.Angle of the beam can be moved in front of the wearer from directly in front to just about the wearers feet.I do not believe that the claim about being waterproof can be believed.The photographs of the light at high beam / low beam and with red lam on was taken in my living room in daylight.OVERALLThis will be of use in limited circumstances and is certainly not going to be of long term use if only because of the poor elastic strapping.Set at £7.99 delivered, it represents fairly average cost even on the high street. The light will preform the intended function for a reasonable period if treated properly and you are prepared to replace the strapping when required.

Todays review is for the STCT IPX6 Waterproof Red Light LED Headlamp This lamp is well made, very robust and should take some knocks and bumps, the white light itself is extremely bright and will light up the darkest of places.The red lights are ideal for night time if your in conditions where you need to light something up but not have white light disturbing your vision like when map reading or if your an astronomer and need light to see what your doing but not blind you so much that you might miss something in the night sky.The strap is really comfortable but I would recommend a small piece of padding be put on the front where the plastic from the lamp is in contact with your forehead, especially if your wearing it for extended periods of time as the plastic does tend to dig into your skin.Overall a nice comfortable headlamp but could be improved with a little piece of sponge put in place by the manufacturer.

Bought to replace a previous head torch that developed a fault on the sliding switch after a couple of years.This replacement is better in 2 ways: (1) there are 2 x red LEDs which give much brighter red light and greater spread than the single red LED on my previous headtorch. (2) the red and white lights are controlled by separate push switches rather than a single sliding switch on the previous one. Much better as I always seemed to forget which way to slide the switch and ended up dazzling myself and losing night vision.The degree that torch can be angled away from the forehead is less than my old headtorch but still plenty, nothing to worry about there.It's comfy to wear and overall I'm very pleased with it.
