It was great to have and worked nicely

After filling the jar and building up a tasty ferment at the back of my counter the channel of the base jar broke spilling out the pooled water barrier and allowing in the dreaded fruit flies. Unfortunately the sizable ferment could not be saved :( wasted my prime and garden fresh garlic scapes radish and carrot as well as the money spent on this. I actually bought two :( don't even want to try the second one. Maybe it's just a case now.

I was looking for something pretty to put on table for my kimchi and this is but the hole is so small you have to chop the cabbage kinda smaller than I would have liked. Also, must use tongs to pull it back out to plate it.

I definitely will not order these jars again. Bought two originally and a chunk of the rim of one jar was broken when I opened the box. I had to go to the hassle of returning the order but I promptly received replacements. The jars are lovely sitting on my countertop. I recently got around to putting lemons in one jar. This morning, I decided to use the second jar to make apple cider vinegar. After filling the jar, I started to move it and a large portion of the jar rim just fell off! I don't know how to make a picture or I would to show you the clean break of a large section of the rim. Anyhow, this is I hope a fair review of my experience with these jars. They are lovely to look at but if the rims (or the glass itself) won't stand up to normal usage by an experienced homemaker I'm not sure if the quality justifies the price.

I use this for making Kimchee.The only thing about this jar that is annoying is that I can't put anything in it to weight down the cabbage so that it's not above the waterline. Other than that I like it. It fits in my fridge

UPDATED REVIEW.So I am extremely disappointed in this jar and updating my review because it actually does have the exact same 4inch crack in the exact same place as the first jar. I do not recommend it and I wouldn't waste your time with getting a replacement. I thought it was just a one time occurrence, but it's not. There's nothing like seeing a crack on a jar that you just paid $30 for and that crack just ruining everything. Its sickening.The customer service was wonderful and extremely helpful. Their product is what's unfortunate.
