Hi, thank you so much for your interest in Basn planar in ear monitors. Yes, it is a 14.2MM planar driver. But the overall sound quality and sound field of the planar driver are better than those of the multi units driver, and also sound clarity and bass performance are more outstanding

Q: Will these stay in with intense headbanging? My current ones keep falling out, I play death/thrash metal

It's hard to say (my headbanging is more of the tame variety). But I've used them at gigs for several months now and they've felt very snug and secure. Quite comfortable, really. But I don't know how they'd hold up with some serious thrashing.

That's a really difficult question to answer. These types of things are very subjective. But if you're looking for decent quality, affordable in-ear monitors, I don't think you'll be disappointed. They hold their own against some of the bigger name brands. They sound good and they're reasonably comfortable. I've been using them for live gigging several months now and I'm happy with them.
