Excellent product
This is an excellent product if used correctly. The soil MUST be damp/wet already or it will empty straight out. Also it is better the soil is not too loose and if you insert at a slight angle it seems to slow it down. How long it lasts depends on all this and how many plants and their size and how hot the air is. They have lasted at least a couple of days for a medium size garden pot, not blazing sunshine and plants not all at maximum growth and flowering. A hanging basket at full growth on a hot day May last a day. You can always put more than one in! It’s trial & error. These globes in particular are a better quality plastic than some of the other makes. You can tell the difference by the shape and the wavy ridges on the globe (if you look closely). These are more egg shaped with more dips in the wavy ridge. The only negative is they are actually slightly smaller than as in description. Only 350ml.

Surprisingly effective
Surprisingly effective - I was very sceptical going in, but they kept my potted trees alive for over a month in hot weather, and without (access to) rainfall. The same trees survived a shorter period only by the skin of their twigs a couple of months prior without them.

They're okay but the opening is too big
I bought these to use with some of my bigger potted plants, and having had lots of success with glass aqua globes in the past I thought that the plastic option might be a better and less fragile option. These are quite tricky to use as the opening is surprisingly large. Most of the water drains out within a day or two with one of my plants, however the other one seems to take about a week to drain completely. I don't think I'd recommend these plastic aqua globes, especially if you're just getting started with aqua globes. The glass ones are easier to use and better quality than these plastic ones.

Doing their job
I bought four of these to try and maintain a good moisture level in some hanging baskets. The baskets in question contain strawberries and were drying up and I was finding it difficult to get the required moisture into the compost using a watering can or jug, as the water was running off faster than it was being absorbed. These pods apply the water into the compost and have been very successful at getting a good moisture level. The strawberries are now thriving, which is a massive improvement as they were struggling before. When the compost was dry, I was refilling the pods multiple times a day but now we seem to have reached a good level, the pods seems to last for 1-2 days between refills - depending on the weather.I don't think these pods would work well as a holiday watering system though, well not in my case anyway.

Not pretty, but effective
Have bought both these and the patterned glass globes. Both work well - horses for courses. I bought these as extra holiday back up globes. They are quicker and easier to fill, being just an open tube, but they aren't the most attractive of things. The glass globes sit permanently in some of my plants that need to be well watered - look more attractive but need to be screwed apart to be filled.

Bought 8. Only one worked
Bought 8. Only one worked.Have to fill with water, then quickly turn upside down and insert into pot before the water runs out. However, if this process results in soil going up the spout of the device then it blocks and doesn't work, as happened with the majority of mine. The one that did work, worked well for the single filling, but I had purchased a better watering system by the time it emptied, so don't know whether it would have worked a second time.

They work
The product saved my plants whilst I was out of the office for 2 weeks over Christmas. I used one of the bulbs throughout the day to see exactly how much water the plant was using, then decided to use 2 in one plant for 2 weeks vacation. To my surprise, when I got back the plants were still thriving. They are not too obstrusive and the bulbs were hidden between the leaves nicely.

Avoid too much or too little water
My partner and I love plants but always seem to get watering wrong so these are great allowing the plant to take as much or as little as it needs. I work in a school so great to know my office plants are getting what they need during the holidays. Not the prettiest design and quite large (about a tennis ball size), so a bit imposing with smaller plants but fine for the price. One was cracked at the top which we didn't realise as only tried to use it a while after purchase. It still works OK though, just means you have to hold it and turn over quick to get in plant without leaking

Aqua Globes Lot de 2 systèmes d'arrosage de...
Ce que j'aime c'est l'originalité de ces globes qui m'ont été très utiles durant mes congés. Mais cela ne convient pas à toutes les plantes. Je recommande
