Are these any more biodegradable than the Amazon Basics green ones? Since they're much more expensive?!

WARNING - GREENWASHING

THIS IS NOT GOOD FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

only truly green alternative to plastic bags are the compostable bags that meet the EN13432 and ASTM D6400 certifications. 
In essence, compostable materials are capable of disintegrating into all-natural elements in a compost environment (for example, and industrial composting facility or a home composting pile) nourishing the earth instead of polluting it.

unlike oxo-biodegradable bags, they contain absolutely no plastics and they don’t break down further into micro-plastics either. (In fact, most compostable bags are made out of cornstarch, third-grade spoilt corn, and other plants, normally a waste product left to rot by farmers.)

To make sure a brand is truly offering compostable dog poop bags, you need to look out for the:

The EN13432 and ASTM D6400 certifications if they are sold in the US or Europe. (Ideally, both, as one denotes the fact that the bags fully degrade in a set time period, and the other certified them for either home & composting facilities).

stay away from scented poo bags if possible, as even the bio ones are counterintuitive when they have numerous additives added to give off artificial scents.

AVOID any brands or so called compostable/biodegradable bags that:

Use the EPI-technology, have EPI-additives, are oxo-degradable or are biodegradable without also being compostable.

Claim to break down in only 30 to 60 days. While truly compostable bags can break down in as little as 3 months, that’s only when the environment meets all the requirements, and not when the bags end up in landfills. A more realistic time-frame for complete degradation is 3 to 12 months.

Has it got the number on the last 5 bags in the roll? One box contained rolls with number the other hasn’t.

Where are these bags made?

Thanks so much for asking! Our bags are made in a facility in China that we own and manage ourselves! Our team in China is truly like a second family to us and as such, we respect all North American labour laws, including competitive wages, medical insurance and a clean work environment. We've looked into having these bags made locally but haven't been able to find anyone who can make the rolls we need. We're so grateful for the job that our workers in China do as without them, we wouldn't be Earth Rated!

Can you use any brand of poo bags in this dispenser?

The hold can one fit bags on a 61mm roll. I would avoid this holder if using with any bags that aren’t Earth Rated’s new style bags. I have over 400 of their older recyclable bags that I struggle to pull through the small opening room of this new holder.
So obviously Earth Rated have redesigned the holder to fit their bags only - extremely frustrating!
