Very useful
Very interesting book, divided into eight chapters with a theme per chapter and various activities in each. It is a book that we can use with young people to work on the theme and go deeper into the subject.Practical and useful for schools or youth centres.

Very thought provoking
I am still reading it I’ve got onto chapter 3 and it definitely open the eyes as to how children or teenagers can grow into the mindset that enables them to excel. But please remember I’m still in chapter 3

Unbelievably patronising…
As a psychotherapist I think the tone of this book is insulting to intelligent teenagers. It also the ~50% teenagers who are abused, or in homes with domestic abuse, or other problems. It and suggests that no matter what your life is like, you can do well. That’s complete nonsense, and profoundly irresponsible. Children need proper adults around them that validate them, not a falsely cheerful self-help psychology that sets many, especially those with trauma to fail. Children from good homes would not need a book like this, and children who struggle because of a harmful childhood environment need adults to support them not a book that gives them a feeling that unless they can adopt a certain mindset they would fail. Would not recommend at all.
