The best whistle is surprisingly cheap
This is a brilliant whistle. I use it to attract my work colleague's attention when we're hundreds of metres away from each other and radios have run out of batteries or the channel knob has accidentally been moved. Its made by the company that outfitted the Titanic with whistles and even created the first aeroplane whistle. ACME has been around a long time and know exactly what they're doing. Plastic construction makes it light. If you hold it in your teeth, you don't get the taste of metal. It won't rust like when your teeth wear away the outer layer of a metal whistle, and can obviously be washed as frequently as you like for hygiene. You don't have to worry about it sticking to your lips in the dead of winter. Also, making something out of plastic makes it very cheap. It claims to be the world's most powerful whistle. I don't know if that's true, but its definitely worth £3.40. The price is very deceptive - this is a premium product. The only downside of this whistle is that you don't have any pitch-control. If you want to end a football match in a flash tuneful way, then get a Fox 40. This is simply on or off.

The name ACME meant I tried it
And it works well! It was worth the chance of buying one. I originally looked at the original chromed metal THUNDERER. I used that exact whistle in the 1950s (!!!!) and it was perfect (thus was stolen). But this new design is ideal on my key system. Lighter. Waterproof. Strong enough to take every knock. Oh, and a good whistle which is the point of having it!!!!

Good whistle (Loud)
Very good whistle and prompt delivery

Loud !
I carry one when solo walking for emergencies. Very confident folks will hear it if used in anger ! All photos make the none mouth end look solid - it isn't - merely two round side pieces. No "pea", but then moving parts are prone to breaking. It is bright and loud, but carries no accepted 6 lasts for help, 3 blasts for reply notifications. It is louder/lighter than anything else I have seen.

Looks impressive but mediocre performance
Sounds exactly the same as any of the Fox 40 versions. might work well out in the open (refereeing a football match maybe) but doesn't travel well over water so I wouldn't recommend for poolside lifeguards.

Nice and loud!
I bought this for my son who is a life guard at the local pool. He was using my old referee whistle but with the back ground noise of kids playing in a pool, he didn’t think it was loud enough. Another life guard had one of these, and i have never heard anything so loud, do not blow close to someone or in the kitchen as my son did! I cant believe you buy a louder whistle.

Loud and clear... excellent for football refereeing
I bought this whistle for refereeing football and it is loud and clear. Bright orange chosen so it would Stan out in by kit bag. I use it with a study lanyard and have to say it is highly effective as very much fit for the role. Louder and different pitch to the whistle I was given on my course.

It’s great,
I ordered this whistle for use in search and rescue, it’s great, very loud and the colour stands out even against my highvis load vest where it’s clipped to the main zip, also arrived early

Laut, laut, laut

Si soplas flojo no sopla fuerte.

Precise, distinct, and very loud. Easy blowing, no-nonsense.
I now own several models from Acme and Fox 40, and I think Acme's pealess whistle products are underrated. They aren't as flamboyantly stylish as some of the newer Fox 40 designs, but they are very well made, they feel great and perform flawlessly. This is the louder-brother of the Cyclone 888 model. It is most comparable to Fox 40's Sonik Blast Fox 40 Sonik Blast Cushion Mouth Group Sports and Safety Loud Whistle with Lanyard, Orange & Black (2 Pack) , which were measured by Refsworld to be in the same class of the most powerful whistles (~127.0 dB). You need to be careful with whistles this powerful as you can easily hurt your own ears or those of others if too close by. I would NEVER use whistles of this class indoors. Look to the Cyclone 888 model if you'll be using the whistle in a gymnasium setting. The T2000 has the same general platform as the Cyclone 888, but has an extra chamber in the middle, making it wider. The voice hole for that chamber is directed out the bottom surface. The wider form factor may make it easier to handle with gloved hands, making a good choice on ski patrol. This T2000 is very well made, with high quality plastic that feels solid and sturdy. There is a micro texture to some surfaces that I find comfortable and reassuring in terms of its handling quality. My example has perfectly finished seams and no burrs, which has been typical of the high build standard I've seen in all the Acme models I own. My Fox 40 examples have a little variation to them. My Classic is well built like the Acmes, but my example of the Fox 40 Sonik Blast looked and felt a little more like a cheap toy, with sloppy seams and burrs, which thankfully that didn't affect the sound performance. I don't worry too much about cracking the plastic of this Acme T2000 in sub-freezing weather, but I'm not sure about the Sonik Blast (don't drop it). Both the T2000 and the Sonik Blast are easy to blow as well as being very loud. I think the Sonik Blast is a little bit easier, but the T2000 is no harder to blow than the Cyclone 888, and all take much less air to sound than the Fox 40 Classic. The T2000 produces the same distinct and fully developed trill of the 888, even at modest blow strength. For pealess whistles, I think both the 888 and T2000 produce the most "pea"-like sound of any model I've tried so far, and I find their sound very aesthetically pleasing. Fox 40's Sonik Blast, for comparison also has a great sound, though I feel the trill isn't as crisp. I also noticed that the Sonik Blast sounds different depending on which way you orient it in your mouth, though this is likely due to sound from one of the chambers needing to reflect off the ground first before reaching the ears of the blower; it seems to me people hearing the whistle at a distance would not notice. Fox 40, I wonder, may wish to study the effect of the location of the voice holes on their designs. The Acme T2000's hole location seems to project the loudest sound straight out in front of the user, which is safer for their hearing. The Sonik Blast's holes emerge top and bottom, but the shape of the body and the taper to the mouth opening might be causing too much sound energy to project out too close to the plane of the user. I've about deafened myself with just a short tweet while bicycling with the whistle in the right wind conditions. I've not had this problem with the T2000. The T2000, apart from being wide, has a traditional feel in the mouth, and like all similar form-factor whistles is easy to hold in the teeth, hands-free. Its competition the Sonik Blast, however, is wide in the vertical dimension with a short taper to the mouthpiece. It's good that the Sonik Blast has a comfort mouth grip (CMG) molded in, because the short taper makes it surprisingly awkward to hold in the mouth, as it feels like it wants to squirt out from between your lips. A little bite pressure against the CMG ridges prevents that and I could still hold it hands free, but the T2000 just felt more stable to work with hands-free. It seems to me that Fox 40 may be trying to differentiate themselves in the market by focusing more on the physical appearance of their whistle designs. The Sonik Blast seems to go a tad too far in this regard, compromising the user's ability to hold it in the mouth confidently. The playful appearance may cause one to not take it seriously. Although wide, the Acme T2000 maintains the same no-nonsense design shapes that have been standard of whistles for decades, it's easy to hold and conveys a sense of utilitarian confidence. If the Sonik Blast looks playful, I would say the T2000 looks professional. No worries with this one, it's here to work, so let's make some signals!
