This is a fabulous piece of kit!! Every pet owner should have one. My grumpy 17 year old long haired kitty is getting too tired to look after herself 100% (though I hope I can still bend like her when I'm her age..cat years of course), she was getting a lil bit matted but we couldn't get near her with a regular brush, she got wee'd off quickly with us tugging away...this is fab tho!! used with pet head dematting spray the knots came right out. Best if you give the kitty the old brush to chomp on, keeps them occupied while you get at the knots ;)

We have a long-haired cat who's moulting quite a bit in the warmer weather. Bought this brush to sort out the slightly matted bits near her back legs.While it wasn't quite able to completely de-matt those bits of fur, it's a really good brush for general grooming. It gets loads of loose/moulted fur out and Bella (the moggie in question) seems to love it - she was purring happily the whole time.Only four stars rather than five because it couldn't quite de-matt all of the fur, and when I tried to do so Bella got a bit grumpy - so I stopped. Also, beware - the straight bits are very sharp!All in all, a really good brush for regular grooming.

I now own a cupboard full of combs and brushes in an attempt to find one that actually removes hair from my long haired moggy (rather than being left in clumps all around the house). This comb does the trick perfectly. It is a little brutal and needs to be used with care, but just one stroke through removes balls of fluff - brilliant! My boy won't stand too much of it and does prefer the feel of the slicker brush, but used together, I have a very happy (and shiny) cat! Definitely recommended.

It does remove hair - lots of it, but the sharp edges have caught me a couple of times when removing the hair from the comb. It leaves a nasty slice in your finger! Didn't find it useful for removing the matts, it's more a preventative comb if used regularly.

This comb worked wonders, once I managed to catch my cat she loved it, let me give her a good combing. She had a number of quite bad matted knots, I'd tried to brush them out with a regular brush but it wasn't helping.The comb made relatively light work of them, and also removed a huge amount of fur from her under coat.My shorted haired cats also like it, and it removed a surprising amount of fur from them as well.Generally really happy with the results, the cats are to :-)

Our semi long haired cat got a couple of matts on the side of her neck despite, what we thought was, enough brushing and care. After several failed attempts to get them out with a regular pet comb they just seemed to get tighter and more solid.This comb though was a revelation! After holding the matt and hair near the skin the hair can be repeatedly combed and, as a result of the sharpish blades on the inside of the curves, the hair comes away. General bushing/combing also seems to yield much more hair on the comb than others we have tried. This will surely help prevent the formation of matts in the future.For a cheap method of removing and prevent matts I can't recommend this enough. The cat didn't seem in any discomfort while I was attacking the matts or while brushing her with it.

This comb did not help get the matted fur out of my cat, and when I was unpacking it I cut myself as I didn't realise the prongs have blades on - so be really careful when you unpack it.

My partner and I adopted a cat a few months ago and she is VERY nervous and prone to biting hard if stressed. She needs daily brushing as she has very long thick fur. We manage this with frequent treats while brushing but I don't see her sitting still to be brushed any time soon if ever. The relevance is that a comb that has to be held a particular way around like this one does is useless for her. We need one on which the teeth are at the end not on the side. I have no idea how well it manages to get out knots because it's too awkward to use. However, if your pet sits patiently to be brushed, it might work fine.

Ich bin sehr begeistert.Mit einer Schere kann man das Tier leicht an der Haut verletzen, da nicht jede Katze stillt hält und meistens auch macht, was sie will und wann sie will.Aber mit dem Entfilzer gehe ich direkt unter dem Knoten, dicht an der Haut vorbei und schneide von unten (wie ein Messer) den Knoten nach oben an. Das ziept in dem Moment vielleicht ein wenig, aber man kann den Knoten dadurch von unten entfilzen/entzweien.Er liegt gut in der Hand. Die Qualität ist auch Top. 5 Sterne dafür :-)

Très bien pour les petits nœuds mais pour les grosses bourres de mon chat Angora il faut d'abord que je les casse avec l'outil le plus efficace que j'ai testé, un découseur ( l'aiguille pour découdre les ourlets en couture. Il faut y aller doucement, c'est long mais c'est l'outil le plus efficace et indolore pour l'animal que j'ai trouvée ).Sinon il retire beaucoup, mais vraiment beaucoup de poils morts ( j'ai vérifié, ce n'est que ceux qui sont morts ). Il tire un peu et lorsque cela le fait il faut revenir en arrière et le passer moins profondément plusieurs fois car cela lui fait mal.Je pense qu'il ne faut pas l'utiliser quotidiennement si vous faites une séance de brossage totale de 20 mn.Son manche n'est pas pratique car pour l'utiliser de manière confortable il faudrait que l'animal soit sur vos genoux ( le mien est couché sur son fauteuil et je galère un peu ) mais il est tellement efficace que je n'ai pas voulu baissé sa note.Perso je l'emploi en alternance lors des séances avec la brosse carde ( histoire de bien lever tous les poils qu'il a retiré ), la brosse peigne Furminator et mon outil magique.Au final elle a un poil hyper doux et plus blanc que blanc et... au fil des jours il y a moins de nœuds ( car c'est les sous poils morts qui les forment je pense / tant je me trompe )Je le conseille

Ich habe einen Chor Chor Mix und er verfilzt immer hinter den Ohren. Es wahr mittlerweile so schlimm, dass es sich wie ein 2. Ohr anfühlte.Mit der Schere bekam ich es nicht weg, da nicht zu erkennen war, wo die Haut begann. Schermaschiene ließ er nicht an sich ran.Keine Bürste hat geholfen. Ich wollte jetzt eigentlich zum Hundefriseur. Dann habe ich den Kamm gefunden und die Verfilzung ist raus. Zugegeben es wahr für meinen Hund nicht schön, aber dieser Kamm hat hinbekommen, was keiner vorher geschafft hat. Der Vorteil, die Kamminnenseite ist fast so scharf wie ein Messer, fast.Die Verfilmung wird quasi durchschnitten.
