Brutal Obsession

This is Violet and Greyson's story and it was not what I was expecting. It is dark and it has some things that may be triggering so just be cautious. I felt for Violet and how her dreams were horribly crushed. Then we have Mr. Bully himself Greyson which yes he is relentless when it comes to Violet but I love that she is no pushover. However there is more than meets the eye when it comes to Greyson. However you must read the book to find out because I’m surely not going to give anything away. All I’m going to say is that this book was so riveting and I can’t recommend enough.

One of the top 5 books I’ve read in 2022. Grey is ruthless when he sees something he wants. And he wants Violet. He wants to hurt her he wants to destroy her then he wants to love her. Never any apologies from him. Violet has been hurt she lost what she holds most dear. She is easy prey for Grey. Overall great book. Great plot. Very emotional and couldn’t put the book down til the end.

What a roller coaster ride!! All of the feels are still bouncing around inside me. If you liked The Ritual, Make You Beg or The Sacrifice, you’ll definitely enjoy this page turner. There is a plot, character development and so much spice!!! This book has a lot of darkness so be sure to check TW before reading.

I loved everything second of this amazing book, The dark twisted romance of grey & violet ! I 100 percent recommend this book ! It's a must read !!! I can't wait for more !!

I am obsessed with Greyson!! Greyson and Violet have one heck of a story to tell....it is intense, brutal, lots of sexiness and suspense to make a 5 star story. I can't stop think of this fabulous book....I finished last night and I am sad the ride is over.

I'm pretty sure this might be Sara's darkest book to date and she was not kidding when she said it was a dark, bully hockey romance. Greyson is super toxic but you just can't help but become hooked on his character and Violet is no wall flower. She absolutely gives as good as she gets which makes their back and forth incredible. These two have a really tragic and hard start where they've each lost something from the accident: Violet lost her dancing career where Greyson lost his reputation and his old Hockey team. Now they find themselves at the same university and on paths that are bound for collision again.When I say there relationship is toxic, I mean toxic with a capital 'T'. Greyson is on a mission to make Violet suffer yet she rises to the challenge and ends up loving. Both of their jagged edges fit together so perfectly and neither can really stay away from the other. There is petty moments too between them in an effort to make the other jealous and other times there is some down right messed up things they do together than end up being incredibly hot and spicy too. Sara was constantly giving us emotional whiplash through the first two thirds of this book. Even while they were at odds they also always still felt like a team too. It's hard to explain really but once you read the story you'll get what I mean. They were the only ones allowed to hurt the other and god help anyone who tried. Greyson was like an avenging angel for Violet when she was targeted by others. Even with them always being a team and connected in their darkness, I was surprised how fast Greyson turned a corner. It did feel like he went from that strong bully obsession into love really quickly. I mean I loved Greyson as a bully and as a love obsessed fool so I was not complaining. Once they got past the really toxic part of their relationship, them as a couple was oddly sweet and endearing at times (and still very spicy). They were so raw and real with one another which kind of made all of their time working up to their HEA make sense. There was always a layer of trust and protectiveness too mixed in with that toxic obsession.I will say that I am really glad that Sara didn't rely on the bully portion of the story to overtake the larger plot line. The whole drama with her dance career really brought the story to another level once Grey and Violet had turned that corner so this story was part thriller.Thank you Sara for an ARC of this book!

This story was dark and intense and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Heed the warnings that Greyson is brutal because he absolutely is. He is a complete jerk and it took me about ⅔ through the book before I finally warmed up to him. Violet, I felt bad for but I really wished she stood up for herself more. She should have been angrier at Greyson and put him in his place more. Because of that I didn't really feel them as a couple, at least not a first. The spicy scenes were incredibly hot though!I really, really wanted to give this book 5 stars but went with 4 because off all the misplaced anger Greyson had. He was abnormally angry about things that weren't even Violet's fault. That drove me a little nuts. I did enjoy the ending very much and I'm looking forward to more from this world. This was a very well written book with interesting characters and I loved the fact that it was a longer read. It allowed for great world building and for a very descriptive story. If you love darkness and antiheros then you will enjoy this story and I would definitely recommend it.

This book blew me away, it was packed full of emotional angst, Sara is such a masterful writer that bleeds emotions thru her words. Violet and Grey are like magnets, despite all their issues caused by the accident they are drawn together, Anyone that gets in the sway becomes a casualty like Jack.An amazing story where both Violet and Grey gain strength from each other and what started as a need to torment each other grew into obsessive love. They are both twin souls who crave violence and burn more brightly together.A wonderful dark stand-alone story, super spicy 🌶 🌶🌶🌶🌶”Violet and Grey are a force to be reckoned with, an awesome read.

I enjoyed reading about this world and the characters. And Greyson might seem morally black and unlikeable to you at first but he will surely grow on you eventually. Because no matter how much he wanted to torment Violet, he always took care of her and was very protective towards her. I won't reveal much about the plot but all I can share is that Violet & Greyson share a past and when they meet again, he is hel bent on getting his revenge on her so he does some questionable things in order to ruin her reputation but is always the first one to sort out her issues for her! Overall, this book was definitely a page turner for me. Only if you're into reading dark romance you should give this book a try because there are some controversial and twisted things Greyson does which he isn't even apologetic about tbh.

This started off a bit frustrating for me because Grey's actions didn't always make sense to me and Violet didn't push back how I would but....once this gets rolling, they are fire together. Then once they really come together they are dark couple goals. This had some fabulous twists and kept me on edge. Looking forward to more in this world.
