Brutal Obsession

I usually don’t read hockey books but this one omgosh I could not put it down it’s hot, and romantic like I would stay up late reading it. Went into the book blindly because saw some recommendations for it and I’m so glad I did❤️ I need more!!!!

Do you know how sometimes authors write fluff into a story and you have to skip over it because it is boring? No worries about that here. I was hanging on to every word and felt every single emotion. At first, I hated the ground Greyson walked on and almost put the book down because of my hate. But the writing and story were so good I pressed on. The twists and turns had me playing detective and unable to put the book down. I started this book yesterday at 5:00 and just finished it at 11:30 today. It was that good.Side note: this is on the darker side of romance, there is dubious consent, so if you do not like that style of book, do not read it. There is a safe word though.Greyson was so complex and evolved throughout the story, you could tell he was battling his demons. Both mains came from a place of true parental trauma and that bonded them from the jump, even if they couldn't understand it at first.The smut was *chef's kiss* truly. 5/5 for me because you could feel their chemistry.This was my first S. Massery book, but I will be back for more. The style of writing was just, not something everyone can do. She is a storyteller.

Seriously - How did Ms. Massery DO THIS TO ME!?One second I was on the edge of my seat, the next I was fanning myself, and then I was swooning 2 pages later. H.O.W. I need to know...I read this book with some book friends - we have a book club and finding a book to satisfy all of our cravings is hard. I am a sweet romance kind of girl, another girl is full on dark romance I hope they are banned kinda dark romance, so finding that happy medium is sometimes hard. Brutal Obsession went above and beyond. We all loved it - so much so that the next book comes out this month and we're already planning on making it our April book.I love a good hockey romance and I loved the dancer side to it as well."Hockey is brutal. It suits him."The suspense had me on the edge of my seat and I was trying to solve it the whole time. I won't lie, sometimes I figure it out pretty easily but this one stumped me. I was sure I knew who it was, but I was shocked when it was someone different.What a great story... If you are okay with the darker themes, you'll love this one. It's truly one of a kind.

He's what all the dark romance lovers want in a book boyfriend. He's an alpha hole who is possessive, obsessive, a little deadly, and a lot of a dirty talker. Their relationship is messy and toxic, but just like any good toxic relationship, completely addicting. I have a feeling this is going to be one of those series that I am going to love more and more as I continue. These men are savages!

It’s perfection.

I purchased this book because I’d seen it recommended a few times on my social media. Going into it blind, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I hadn’t read a synopsis or anything. This book was GREAT. I have now passed it around to all my friends and made sure they read it because it’s JUST THAT GOOD. the spice is 5/5. The plot is excellent. The characters are great too!!

This book is what you would get if “Haunting Adeline” and “The Ritual” had a baby. It was Such good spice and story line was giving all the vibes. A truly good read!

This is my second dark romance book that I’ve read and I’ll totally be reading the others in this series. Big fan

Don't get me wrong, Greyson is not nice, but I kinda love him for it.He's unhinged and completely obsessed with Violet, so watching him torment her whilst falling for her was brilliant.It's not a sweet and swoony romance. It has dark vibes that won't be for everyone.... BUT.... I couldn't get enough, and I'm can't wait to dive into the rest of the series

A really, really good dark romance! I couldn't put it down and I was unsure at first how I was going to like it since I usually gravitate towards "lighter" sports romances, but this was wow. I really enjoyed this read and will order the second book as well. Steamy and I liked the characters, also good twists through out the story!Be aware of the triggers tho! I can imagine the themes and stuff in this book will be hard for some people.(Actually - that's a thing I'm missing for all books here. I would like to see the TW in the description before buying them.)
