Weighted Chess Set, Tournament Style Pieces, Green Sky, Chess Game (Plastic)

This is a very good set for the price. The pieces are nicely made and look good on a 12 or 15 inch board. The smallest square size of 1.13 inch will work fine. It's a regular 32 piece set but the quality of the pieces for the price makes it a good deal.

I wanted a classic, old school set of plastic chess pieces to use for visualizing chess moves (I know some people can do this in their heads, but I’m not one of them). This set was perfect in terms of size and price, but I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. Only one piece out of the entire set sits a little crookedly on its base, and it’s only barely noticeable. The rest are pretty much perfect.The one area that I would say they’re lacking is that they’re not very heavy, but if you really need heavy pieces for your lightning chess round, it wouldn’t be difficult to remove the felt base and add a little piece of metal before gluing them back up. I’m happy to give these five stars. Are they going to be as good as the Staunton pieces from a regulation set? No, of course not, but they’re also four times cheaper than those, so…

These are the standard size that you would want with a little extra weight to them. Exactly what I was looking for.

I have several smaller, wooden boards that I either don't have pieces for, or I didn't care for the pieces I had. I bought these to go with them so I could use them for students to play on in my classroom.I like the size, it is perfect for the boards I needed sets for. However, they are not the "standard" tournament size pieces so if you're purchasing these for that, look elsewhere. The description also says these are weighted and it doesn't feel like it to me. They don't seem to tip over easily though.For the money, I'm happy and would order more.

The description is a bit misleading. It is tournament style in that the design is standard, but the pieces are small. Not the size that you typically see in tournament settings

Perfect for playing chess with my grandkids and they love it too.

Basic good quality plastic chess pieces. Going to be used by my school's Chess Club. Recommend to buy if you need a nice cheap replacement set for your board.
