Whale GP0650 Hand Operated V Pump

We bought this to use in our camper car. We don't have the car set up full time for camping so wanted something that would sit atop a large water container but save having to haul the container out each time it was used. This fits the bill. My husband drilled a hole in the lid of the container and siliconed this in and it works perfectly. Water comes out either on up or down stroke. You can lock it off so that it doesn't pour water all over the floor when something accidentally gets draped over it. It did seem quite pricey but it is good quality and I am glad we got it.

We have a number of these taps - on our boat, in our two motorhomes and now we've ordered a further two for use in our log-cabin/field shelter/'posh shed'. We've used too many of the 12v submersible pump types previously but inevitably every single one has failed after relatively little use leaving us stranded without a water supply. In contrast, this Whale tap is completely manual with a simple pump mechanism and almost incapable of failing and, as it doesn't rely on a 12v power source, it is completely reliable. Another benefit is that as one hand is required to pump it eg while rinsing the other hand rather than leaving it running as is the temptation with a powered tap, you are far less likely to waste water. Instead you use just the amount you need. It's simple to fit and connect and we dangle the water pipe into a 10 or 20 litre jerrican. It couldn't be a simpler arrangement but simple is also the best in this case. Highly recommended. We would use no other.

I think its expensive for what it is, but it was a direct replacement for the faulty one on my boat. As such, it did a fine job and my sink now works.

Excellent product. Use mine in my campervan with a jerrycan of water, short blue hose and a bowl for a sink. Great, simple easy to install and use setup. Mine does leak very slightly around the top when pumping occasionally but just a couple of drips nothing to be bothered with. Very pleased

Well made, good quality, no leakages thus far! I recommend you don’t mount it with a “high” setting as this will shorten it’s longevity! The forces involved are strong!

Fantastic wee tap, been using it in a cabin for a month and no complaints. Easy to install, changeable height and simple pump action.

Very disappointed. I bought this to replace a tap on my boat of the same tmake and type. The original tap had an annoying leak from the joint between the pump shaft and the pump body. Replacing the tap was easy. I was pleased when I tried it, no leak. However about a week later when I next tried it there was a leak from the exact same place as the original. I have requested my money back.

Have used it for 21 nights of boondocking style camping where we are using the sink to wash hands a lot more and also dishes due to current health situations. The faucet works very well and holds pressure well and takes about 16-18 pumps to pump a quart of water if we are filling up a nalgene. It has held up well and for at least 50 gallons having gone through it I am very satisfied. The plastic also cleans well so it makes for a nice setup when your RV is not hooked up to a permanent water source.

Après avoir essayé divers moyens de pompage dans mon fourgon aménagé (pompe à pied, pompe électrique, pompe à main moins chère), je regrette de ne pas avoir investi plus tôt dans cette petite pompe Whale vraiment très efficace. Le prix est justifié par la qualité du produit et je n'ai pas trouvé moins cher ailleurs. Je vais d'ailleurs en commander une seconde pour l'installer dans une cabane sur un terrain sans électricité. Pompe fiable avec débit plus que correct sans beaucoup d'efforts, vous pouvez commander les yeux fermés.

This is a good quality efficient pump. It has great flow and is easy to pump. I highly recommend this product.

It's a good product, mounted it to a canister and that's part of my stable camping setup now!
