I bought these because of the brand name, the price (£19.99), free delivery, and the many comments about ‘extra long handles’.The shears are certainly nicely made, and the blades are satisfyingly sharp and cut cleanly. They’re also relatively light in weight. Unfortunately, the handles are a full 6-7cm shorter than my Swedish F...... shears. The handles on my F…… shears are 99cm, but these Wilkinson shears are only 92-93cm. That’s a BIG difference if you’re tall, especially if you’ve got a lot of edging to do. In addition, the F...... blades are a full 3cm longer than the Wilkinson blades. That's 15%. It may not sound like much, but it matters if you have long, straight borders. First of all, the job will involve 15% more snips, 15% more footsteps, and take 15% longer. Secondly, as anyone who has tried maintaining long, straight edges knows, long blades are much better at maintaining a straight line. Short blades wander off course too easily and leave wobbly edges.In summary – these are light, well-made shears that cut cleanly; they're well-suited to women, or anyone else of modest stature, and for those having a garden with small beds and/or short borders. I’m afraid I’d find it difficult to recommend these to anyone much over 6ft tall, or with more than, say, 200 yards of borders to maintain.

iv been using the the electric strimmer to edge my lawns ,which i found was a bit too over kill and not very precise.. so i decided to buy this edging shear ..which was just perfect ,and ill never look back my lawns look so much better and neater too with a sharper finish.. fantastic value for money..super light weight and the blades are super sharp and cut through turf and grass with ease..slight downside, could do with making the handles retractable or longer ,im 6ft 2 and had to bend over a lot.. so wouldnt suit anyone with back problems ,but over all great item

These are the best edging shears I’ve ever bought. They have super sharp blades so very easy to use. Lawn looks great with a neat border.

I like everything about it. The grass edgers do everything they claim. What's more they were cheaper than many others on the market!! Thank you!!

Seem fairly sharp but the handles are too flimsy, it’s very easy to trap your thumbs because the handles almost come together when using mild force when using them
