Good quality turmeric in a good quality bag
You can't have missed the increasing media coverage recently on the alleged healing and cancer preventative properties of turmeric. I bought this to make some golden paste, a widely available recipe for maximising the body's ability to absorb the relevant active ingredients. It is easy to find how to make it, it just consists of turmeric, water, black pepper, and fat, such as coconut oil or olive oil. The pepper and fat are key in helping the body absorb curcumin, the key constituent of turmeric that is supposed to do all the good stuff. The paste tastes pretty foul, but it is fairly easy to gulp down and then wash down with a drink, or even easier to chuck in appropriate food when cooking - curries, rice etc.This seems to be very good quality and comes in a sturdy bag with a good resealable seam once opened.

Open with care
A good flavour and colour. Not to impressed by the packaging - it arrived in two thin plastic lock bags that made my hands yellow on opening. Would have preferred a thick foil-lined bag for the quantity I ordered.

I cant say this was all singing and dancing but it looked as good as any purchased before and is organic. Tumeric is a powerful spice, what more can I say.

Very very disappointed in this product
Very very disappointed in this product. I have been using turmeric powder to make golden paste for several years and have always been satisfied . with the different turmeric powders I have tried. Was very surprised on opening this to find the colour was dark brown and not the normal orange. Used some to make golden paste but was nothing like the normal result and had hardly any taste to it. I am so unimpressed with this I have today returned it to Amazon for a full refund and reordered from a company I have used before with good results. I did a water test on this to check the purity by stirring a teaspoon into a glass of water and leaving for half an hour. Normally the powder sinks to the bottom leaving the water with just a hint of colour. When I did the test on this it did not separate at all and had a horrible sludge floating on top and looked like mud.
