Does RF loop-through work when the Humax is in stand-by, and is there a front USB socket for DIVX playback from a flash drive ?

The HDR-1800T has power saving mode switched on by default.  For RF loop-through to work when the Humax is in stand-by this needs to be turned off.Unlike the HDR-2000T the HDR-1800T has just the 1 USB port and this is located at the back of the HDR-1800T.  The official video format that the HDR-1800T can play via USB is XviD.  The Humax products that can play XviD can usually play some variations of some other video formats but there is no certainty that yours will play.

Can I record 2 programmes while I watch a recorded programme at the same time? Thanks

Yes.I often do this with the HDR-2000T (500GB) which has the same firmware and can currently be bought from Amazon cheaper although at 500Gb its hard drive is bigger than the 1800T's 320GB!

Question 3

I have recently purchased an 1800T but I am unable to record even though I follow the instruction manual.  Any suggestions?  It's driving me mad!

I had some problems with mine deciding not to record some progs. Clever son-in-law managed to connect it to the internet & download Humax updates. Apparently these happen during the early hours of the morning, so if you don't leave it on standby it won't happen at all. Mine working fine now.

each time i turn on set top reorder then tv i have to then go to av settings and press ok why?

Some TVs have the facility to set the boot option to 'last state' so when you turn the tv on it will go back to av or whatever input it was last on. Have a look through the TVs settings and try that.
