Revell 03927 Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IXc 1:32 Scale Unbuilt/Unpainted Plastic Model Kit

I was looking for a good value larger MkIX Spitfire kit to display the aircraft’s lines & form. Did not want engine detail or lots of removable panels. Perfect kit for this purpose. Amazon came top on my internet price check. Very familiar with Revell from my youth & my kids’ youth. Simple, no nonsense, value kits. This Spitfire is absolutely in their wheelhouse. Nicely presented & packaged with clear colour instructions. On-line reviews credited the moulding & dimensional accuracy of the kit and my example seems entirely consistent with the reviews. That said, only two RAF paint schemes & decals. No formal “wheels up” instructions. I will have to figure this out myself. All part of the fun! Packaging was damaged on arrival but kit did not suffer.

This is a relatively new tool, very well produced kit of the iconic Mk IX Spitfire. It includes fine surface details, excellent instructions, fits together very well and although it lacks the exposed engine and finer details of the Tamiya kit, it's less than 1/3 of the price and builds up into a really nice, mostly accurate and large model of this beautiful aircraft. Includes bomb racks and bombs plus excellent, high quality decals for the marking options.

I hadn't built a plastic kit for over 40 years, and during the Covi-19 lockdown what better way to pass the time and build (appropriately, on the 75th anniversary of VE Day) a model Spitfire. There have been a lot of improvements in these kits in the space of 40 years - the detail is astonishing, and there are some incredibly small parts (some just a millimetre across), so its not a kit for the first-time builder, or for the fent-hearted. I was working with a magnifying glass and tweezers a lot of the time. But the kit fits together very well, and there is very little 'flash' on the sprues. Instructions are very detailed, and allow you to build several different versions. I'm about halfway through building it, and it is already looking great. Might just have found a new/old hobby!

An excellent kit with plenty of detail, no issues with putting it together and great value for money. That good I ended up buying a second one.

This was delivered without any wrapping paper or packaging - surprisingly, the box was relatively unscathed. Anyway, the review is for the product, not the vendor, and I have no complaints with it. It’s not overly complicated compared to similar but more expensive product from other manufacturers, but it was a lot of fun, gave no real issues, and is great value for money. I’d recommend this as a simple build, or for those less experienced, or those on a budget.

Great model good size, good instruction to follow really enjoyable to build, would say not for the beginner as there are a lot of fiddly parts, but recommend.

This is a great model to build. Very few fitting issues. I have painted it as MH454 of 453 Sqn RAAF June 1944 piloted by F/O J. Boulton and painted in D Day invasion stripes. 👍😊

Great detail for the price and going together nicely

このキットは、2015年に出た新製品です。 私は、購入したばかりで工作途中です。 タミヤの影に隠れてあまり話題になりませんが、素晴らしいキットです。 1/32と言う大スケールにも関わらず部品点数を抑え、作りやすくなっております。 モールドは凹彫りで、繊細なリベツトが機体全体に施されています。 銀剥げの表現をする際は有効に使えますね。 若干彫りが浅いので、工作途中で消えてしまうかもしれません。 コクピットは、少ない部品で、要領よくまとめられていて、パイピンクするだけで、素晴らしくなります。 良いキットだと思います。

More than I expected. Like 153 parts. Really detailed. Highest rated skill level to assemble. Level 5. If you are a skilled model builder and have lots of fun with this hobby, this model is for you. This is for those who love SuperMarine Spitfires. It has the V12 RR Merlin engine. Plus made Revell Germany.
