Keeps my face warm
I was waiting to write a review till I got to try it out with freezing temps. It's been mildly warm the last few weeks, but these last few days we got blasted with sub zero temps and 50mph winds. Several times I was able to use this and I was not disappointed. I haven't had a balaclava for several years, and regretted not having one the last few winters. I put it on indoors and I immediately noticed the warmth. So much so that I had to either take it off or head outside. There is a nice soft fleece lining inside that makes it comfortable to wear and not cause any chaffing. Once outside in the sub zero temps, I was very comfortable and my head did not get cold. I was not wearing any additional hats over the ski mask either. I was outside for about 10 to 15 minutes at a time cleaning off cars and it performed as expected. As with anything covering your mouth though, breathing can be a little restricted, but I had no issues. As for fitment, I have a small head. When in the Army (many years ago) my hat size was 6 7/8. I also have a shaved head, so no hair to take up additional space in the hood. It does fit snug around my small head with a little extra room on top near the back of my head. The hood is stretchy, so I don't foresee people with larger heads having an issue. But again, I lack hair and a big head for any actual experience. As for durability, only time will tell. When I was out in the elements, it was not raining, but some snow did accumulate on it. When I went back in the house and it melted, I did not feel any moisture inside the hood. though I don't ski anymore, my main purpose is to use it in extremely cold temps and when riding my fat tire bike in the winter time. So far I have no complaints at all. The material feels decently quality and it does keep my face and head warm. Once I get a chance to spend a couple hours outside riding my bike, I'll update this post if I find any issues or concerns.

Excellent fit. Good for winter jogging. Does fine in machine washer & dryer. A deal at $10!
I really like jogging in the wintertime, and will regularly jog until it gets below 5F. I took this jogging at about 25F, and it performed like a champ.First, the sizing is large, suitable for an adult male, and the fit is snug--but not tight--around the eyes, but reasonably loose everywhere else. I have a really tight balaclava that I had used for running--and it cost a lot more--but I don't like it because it's TOO tight. For example, putting-on a tight hood or balaclava pulls my the wireless earbuds out of my ears (if I already have them in), and once a tight hood is on, it's too tight to easily insert earbuds without also inadvertently triggering the earbuds on-touch commands. First-world problems, for sure. Also, my tight balaclava regularly slips off my nose while moving (and it is hard to stay still while running), but this hood never slipped off my nose, not once over a 30-minute jog.The mesh nose & mouth area performs surprisingly well while jogging. The mesh area functions to make holes that are rather smaller than they'd otherwise be if they were cut directly into thick neoprene, for example. Meaning: I can easily exhale while running, but inhaling doesn't pull in too much cold air. The inside of the hood is some kind of faux-fleece lining: its plenty soft, and just the right thickness for being active in the winter. Not amazing, but solid. After a run, I reuse my winter gear until it gets too gross, and I use the washing & drying machines for convenience. My experience with Chinese-manufactured apparel is that the laundry instructions are all over the place. I have no idea what the last bit of instructions says... maybe "don't [machine] wash"? The first label says machine wash is OK, but not to tumble dry. I did it anyway: I tossed this in the washer & dryer with the rest of the dark cotton laundry and it came out unscathed.Because I get this for free on Amazon Vine, I see "$0" on my order history for this, so I had originally written a more critical review of this hood, thinking that it was closer to $30. I was shocked it's only $10. Amazing value; this is a real deal at $10.

Functional ski mask for cold weather
I'm not a skier, but i walk outside year round and shovel snow on cold Wintwr days. I needed to find something to keep my face and ears warm in freezing temperatures.Even though I'm not currently a skier, I have skied and used snow mobiles enough to be familiar with protective head gear for outdoor Winter activities. I previously thought I had a large head, but even I found some extra room above the eye areas of the mask. There's plenty of room in the eye and head area for wearing ski goggles or even a knit hat underneath it.What I like about the fabric is that it is reasonably lightweight and breathable without being too thin. You could work up a sweat in it through running, cross country skiing or snow shovelling and stay comfortable. This mask will help protect skin from the cold, dry Winter air in my area.

runs larger
as a woman, with a smaller head, this balaclava runs a bit on the larger side, and consequently tends to slip down around my eyes, obscuring my vision. I solved this with goggles, but it would be nicer if it came in a smaller size.Having said that, though, this is a nice piece of gear. The lining is soft and comfortable, but doesn't get weighed down with sweat and moisture from the breath - it wicks away from your head pretty effectively, so you stay warm and dry. The seams are nicely finished and don't rub or irritate even during a run. Comfortable to wear, warm enough for the coldest weather, Recommend.

One piece wonder
This winter sport mask is sleek in its design. The fabric is dense and stretchy. Nice room at the mouth area for breathing. Designed to fit like a glove.
