They are not sheer really. Kind of thicker than most trouser socks so they do hold up after washing and don't run.

will these fit a larger calf size ?

My calf is 13 - 14 inches and they fit very well. Not sure about anything larger than that. They stay up very well too.

Is the cream color a very pale skin tone? not beige, but lighter? in one picture it looks almost greenish. what i want is very pale skin tone.

Do these have reinforced toes?

No, they do not have reinforced toe areas. I really do not think necessary as the knee highs are of substantial weight.
