Lamp Kit 7 Kit contains:- 1x Brass Safety Switched Lampholder 2.5m Gold 3 core flex with moulded plug pre-wired 1x Steel Zinc Plated 10mm All Thread 75mm Long 1x Brass Tube Spacer 1.5" 2x Plastic Tube Grommet 10mm 1x Flex Cord Grip This kit is ideal if you have a wooden lamp base. By drilling a tight fit hole, the 10mm all thread can be fitted into the wooden base and the Brass spacer added over the allthread leaving enough thread sticking out for the lampholder. Run the flex through the allthread and secure with the cord grip, add the plug and your done. Please use the Grommets at the top and bottom of the alltread to protect the flex. Please ensure you are competent in doing this electrical work before starting. Please note - This is a safety switched lampholder which needs a lamp fitted to be able to operate the push bar. If the lamp is removed the push bar will return to the off position and can not then be moved. NOTE: Wooden Base Not Included!

It's ok
This is ok, all fine instructions are good, but the switch isn't brilliant, have to push it and push it a wee bit a second time for it to stay. It's quite safe, and it does work. I bought it some while before fitting it, otherwise I'd be tempted to send for a replacement. I'll live with it.

Lamp conversion
I have just converted an old Tilley Lamp from oil using this kit. Tricky to solder the treaded piece in. but the finished item looks great

The kit worked just fine but is expensive.
We just moved from the US to the UK. It was easy to replace the wiring with this kit but it came with more components than necessary. We need to do four more lamps, but this kit is too expensive to do this and has more than we need. Unfortunately, there aren't any other proper kits for what we need,

Very poor quality
The switch arived broken & cross threaded very poor quality. I purchased it to fix a lamp for a pensioner which was a present years ago from a now desesed friend, very disappointed. Amazon selling rubbish again.

Beware of the linked product
Beware, the suggested plate nipple fitting at 1/2inch or 25mm does not fit the lamp holder. Both have external screws. I had to purchase the correct sized plate nipple locally.The lamp kit itself is a good product though. It is in use with a 50 year old handmade wooden table lamp.

Ideal complete set. I've made two wooden lamps for family. Only issue I has was the screws in the bayonet appear to be of poor quality and difficult to access, so needed a gentle touch. Otherwise reasonable value for the money. Prompt delivery. Would buy again.
