No it is not ready assembled but it's pretty straight forward putting it together. I would have to say, No it wouldn't be suitable for a 10year old child.

Will this be suitable for 8 to 10 year old?

hi i bought 2 xootz viper racing go karts for my 6 and 9 year old grandchildren. They both love them and were a great hit with all their friends. They are robust and well designed and easily assembled. I would highly recommend them. The seats are adjustable -2 positions - and at the moment they are both in shortest position so i would think they would be suitable for an 8-10 year old. They are good value for money.
