Does it contain gluten

Chicory doesn't contain gluten and this is made of 100% chicory. Also it says on the label "Chicory is naturally caffeine and gluten free".

Good question! and quite difficult to answer - Well it's not like coffee except for the slightly bitter aftertaste. I'd say it's almost flavorless? but gives a warming feeling that you get from a coffee - so not bad in any way, just not coffee! Sorry can't be more specific, just that I've never tasted anything like it before. And yes I would buy it again when my jar is empty :)

Is 28.2 grams of sugar per 100g a high sugar content? I'm a little confused by that.. I have bought this before and enjoyed it.

Hi its not the same as nasty white sugar from googling it contains a fibre called inulin too so I wouldn't worry have a few almonds with it they balance blood sugar levels un-blanched more fibre.

is there sugar in it, or any sweetness? and if yes what is it?

No sugar and a bitter taste. But feel free to sweeten it with whatever you want, I used xylitol.
