remarkable well build multi-function flashlight using 2 D batteries
I have been looking for a flashlight that uses D batteries. There are so few of these on the market as vast majority of flashlights use either AA or C or AAA batteries. D batteries are the same price as C batteries sold at Costco but obviously D holds much more charge and I want my flashlight to throw light much longer without going out of batteries. I ordered 3 - 2 are read and 1 is yellow as these are cheaper than other colors sold here. I have to say I am very very satisfied – so satisfied that I am actually writing up this review, which I rarely did for any products.First, a big plus, is the flashlight shoots a central focused strong beam surrounded by unfocused wider-spread lights. I have been worrying that, because the flashlight does not have a normal rotatable barrel, one is not able to adjust intensity of the light beam like many other flashlights could. This worry is unwarranted as the strong central beam is very focused and very straight forward that even from along distance away the central beam does not get dispersed. This makes the adjustable barrel to adjust the light focus area unnecessary. The second plus is, of course, 2 D batteries holds a lot of charges to allow the flashlight going without replacing batteries. Mind you - D batteries sold at same price as C batteries at Costco. Hence over long term use the battery savings alone may be able to earn this flashlight free. The flashlight does appear solidly build and it looks it can last a long time. The third plus is it is designed can be used as work light, as there is a magnetic base like many worklights have and there is a side light on the side barrel that generously illuminates the work place at hand. The push button control functions are as follows :1st push – throws strong central focused beam light surrounded by unfocused area light2nd push – same light pattern as first push except lumens are reduced.3rd push – same as first push except lights are rapidly flashing, it meant to draw attention when you are in emergency situations.4th push – used as work light, with side barrel lights illuminates the work place at hand.5th push – same as 4th push, except in reduced lumens.6th push – shut off flashlight. So what is the con ? well I did not find any. But if I have to at least say something I would say the string at the tail of flashlight has a small metal clip that can get the way when I stand the flashlight on a horizontal metal surface when I used it as work light. It is due to the metal clip will attach to the flashlight magnetic base before the magnetic base is attached to the horizontal metal surface. Well this is a hardly a con as now I am just getting used to, in one hand, hold the string up with barrel all together (to immobilize the string) before I stand the flash light on horizontal metal surface. Easily solved.

larger than expected
seems good

I don't use it at all
It requires you to cycle the button about four times to turn on and off because of all the features it has to have to show up to interfere with this operation as a flashlight

Good multi-function flashlight
I was looking for a good LED D-cell flashlight and this fit the bill perfectly and more and at a good price.

A Bright Star with Magnetic Personality
You probably have seen other GoGreen products. Like those sticker based light switches with the high intensity lights. Picked up THE BULL today locally for a mere $10.49 on a lark, finished in lovely metallic blue. While this flashlight claims a TOTAL of 300 lumens it is not all at once. The business end of this flashlight is a stunning 3W 180 Lumen CREE LED. That is a lot of light from 2 D cells. The rubber coated clicker button has no momentary tap button for light. But you do get High, Low and Strobe settings from the front emitter. One presumes the next click turns this baby off. Not so. The 4th click illuminates the side COB (Chip On Board) work light at 120 Lumens. That side emitter looks like a glow stick, but it illuminates with a solid beam of long light which fills the room. The 5th click gives half as much COB light, and finally your 6th click turns the light off. There are no "wait cycles" where-as the light turns off at the next click after a few seconds. I have that feature on a much cheaper built flashlight.NIFTY DISCOVERY: Slapping the butt end of the Bull with your palm, or against your hip, turns it off (but not on) from any mode. Do not slap too hard as not to break the plastic threads or internals. The real utility of this light is being built like a bull. Aluminum frame body, rubber head, switch, end cap with detachable lanyard. The best part is that killer magnet on the base. Unlike other lights claiming to have a magnet, this baby sticks and stays stuck. No sliding or falling off at random. Yet, very easy to tilt and remove from even the friendliest magnetic surface. The threaded end is simply metal reinforced plastic, not aluminum like the body. The end cap goes on easily and smoothly but lacks a rubber O-ring. It can get wet, but do not submerge in any water. The head and end cap are roll resistant. What of the beam, you ask? It throws light to a very practical 100 feet.. But is not adjustable. Very easy to see the center beam in the midst of a very useful spill beam. Yet, no halo. It was overcast at dusk and I still saw reflection on signs a block and a half away. The COB work light and magnetic base are the real appeal of an otherwise typical high lumen LED light. Let's not forget a reported run time of 12 hours on high mode. The lanyard's metal clip sometimes sticks on the magnet, becoming a minor nuisance. There is some rattle if you shake THE BULL with the batteries, but the light stays steady. The body is mostly a plastic sleeve with aluminum shell. THE BULL is not a game changer but a very fun and useful light to have around for those dark moments in these uncertain times. With 2 D cells (not included), you are bound to have hours of useful fun. I admit to keeping mine handy just for the love of the blue and side COB light. For the price it is a great beat around light. Throw one in your utility box.

Dangerous to use
Turns ON with 1 push, but takes 4 pushes to turn OFF as it goes through all light settings. Very dangerous if outside at night, and difficult for elderly fingers. I will use this one, but will not ever buy it again and do NOT recommend it. Also has a lead danger warning, but was unable to find out where the danger is in the flashlight. I am using 2 D batteries from Duracell.

the flash light it would not lite up or work at all. I went on line and it was no help.
It didnt work, what is there to like? My neighbor is an electrician and looked at it and told me it is missing a spring that holds the batteries in place. I am very disappointed.

Good for a fair price.
This flashlight is very handy and useful with four settings. Very bright light for such a fair price. (2D cells - not included). Would gladly recommend. You won’t be disappointed.

Multi functional flashlight
The flashlight serves my needs. Should have been 5 stars but price dropped by two dollars a few days after my purchase.
