First of all, very quick delivery. I ordered these shoes on a Thursday and delivery was set for Saturday but they arrived a day early on Friday. I immediately opened the package and upon initial inspection I think the shoes look great. The color and design may not be for everyone but I like them and I am a person who typically goes after the look of difference. Now I must say I’ve been a fan of Merrell shoes for at least 20 years. I have however always worn the latest generation of the chameleon stretch hiking shoes for work, hiking, and casual wear. I stick with ASICS gel cumulus and gel Kayano as my walking, running, and also casual wear too. I have had a couple other styles of merrell hiking boots/shoes but nothing like the Moab speed. I honestly did not expect them to fit well nor be comfortable but I was simply blown away at how great they fit and how comfortable they feel on my feet. I expected them to be a bit narrow but they are not, they are just the right width and overall size is true to my feet and I wear a size 11. In comparison to my ASICS these Moab speed feel like I have more shoe under my feet, a better foundation and sure footedness for walking or running. Overall I am initially impressed. The quality of the materials seems durable and designed for years of activity but truthfully only time will tell. However, if you are considering this shoe give them a try I think you’ll like them.

Shoe is very light but has great support and with the sole, should last a long time. Use it primarily for walking off the trails.
