Really good coverage
Great coverage on this paint, I mean is a little dearer than some other paints out there but sometime you get what you pay for, it better quality I’d say than a lot of other fence paints on the market, it keeps its colour and covers blemishes quite well.

Both tins badly damaged & leaked
Both tins had leaked badly despite the boxes being undamaged. The lids had come open & half the contents had spilled into the sealed plastic bag. Fortunately I still had an empty 5L tin in my recycling bin so was able to decant the paint from the tin & bag into that. Messy job & not happy. The paint itself is fine but Amazon really needs to look at the way the lids are secured before dispatch! I read the reviews after receipt & noticed that other customers had the same problems! See photos attached!

What's not to like?
Having thoroughly investigated many timber care products I am still using Cuprinol Garden Shades. Like many products it protects but does not preserve the wood. Bare untreated wood requires treatment with a suitable preservative before painting. The paint is easy to apply and covers well; it is low odour and fast drying. Brushes clean well with warm water. There is a wide range of colours available and the finish is both durable and easy to clean. What's not to like? Two tips if you do buy this: 1. I found it easier and faster to apply with a medium pile roller and then brushed out with a four inch synthetic bristle brush. 2. Do not paint the undersides of timbers or they effectively become encased in a watertight skin. Should any water enter via a crack or damage it will be trapped and will cause decay.

Did a good job.
Had to put 3 coats on unpainted wood, but it has done a good job and looks really nice. Very pleased.

if you want a delivery that arrives damaged then buy this through Amazon
so, you finally get to speak to a human being - they tell you that you have to return the item to get a refund - you explain that the paint is leaking out of the tins and that you are required to shield by the Government due to poor health and can't go out. they then tell you you can have the item collected. you wait and wait - nothing happens - you email - you get no reply - you finally call again - you explain the situation - you are told that if the item is leaking you can't return it and they will after all arrange for a refund - exceptionally - they tell you to dispose of the paint - its cuprinol - so you explain that you can't as it is classed as a dangerous and has to be disposed of safely so you cant just stick it in the rubbish. They basically tell you - if you want your money back - then you have to ... what lousy support from a company that pretends now to be concerned about green issues!!
