The first item on the instructions leaflet is "open battery door". The second item is: "put 2 AA alkaline batteries in the battery box".I'm sorry, but there is no battery box, or if there is, it is hidden away behind some secret lever or something. I turned the device every which way, I pushed and pulled it, and there is simply no battery box. And there is no.... ah, wait a minute, I have it a new try and it seems part of the device can be pushed back, probably to reveal a battery box beneath it. However, there is no key on the leaflet to show you this; I found it simply by pushing and pulling all the parts. This is no way to sell a device. I'm not sure yet if it will work. I was determined to return it but perhaps I will just give it a try now. However, I am annoyed that this function is so inadequately described. Consumers cannot read minds; how can we possibly know that the "2 AA batteries" on the description actually means, "This is a battery box, even though you can't see that it moves, please just push it back."It's so annoying that modern devices are so slickly made it takes an hour to figure out the simplest things.
