DTB TECH Allspice Berries Whole [Pimento] 250g (Buy Whole Foods Online Ltd.)

If you can get hold of allspice berries they are always in small quantities and expensive. Buying them this way means I have an adequate stock for my recipes and the cost is very reasonable compared to supermarket prices. I will definitely continue to buy via Amazon providing the prices remain competitive.

I had tried for ages to get whole allspice berries. I trawled every known supermarket plus healthfood shops with no luck, dont believe these TV Chefs when they state most ingredients are readily available in your local supermarket, trust me they are not !Then I found Whole Foods on line, not only did they have exactly what I was looking for, I got 250 grms for just over £3.00 amazing value, and the Allspice berries a quality product, I will be shopping with them regularly .

I love this spice. Besides adding that extra touch to mulled wine at Christmas time, it is an excellent addition to various meals. The big shops now only seem to sell it as ground which is not what everyone wants, that last a shorter time so it has to be used or thrown. This size bag of whole allspice (pimentos) is not only excellent value for money but fits all the requirements.

Pimento (allspice) is an essential seasoning for me - it's unbeatable with chicken and pork. But the dried pimento tree berries are very expensive if you buy from a British supermarket (and small quantity packets too) so you either need to source from a Caribbean shop or go online. This is large packet and excellent value for money. I found the berries to be fresh - not too dry - beware old stock in some shops as if it is stored in too hot conditions (e.g. direct sunlight) the berries lose their flavour. These were fine.

Great quality dried spice. Bought them whole os I have the option of whole for pickling, stocks etc or ground for baking.
