Love this stuff!
Yes its true the taste isn't the "best" but that's something you have to expect with something like this. Eveyone expects all of their supplements to taste like rainbow sherbert and vanilla lattes, those supps are probably loaded with artificial things to give you that taste, so this is the real deal.Outside of taste: i sleep like a baby when I take this, part the peppermint, part probably a little bit of a placebo affect but thats 100% fine with me. Plus it's a nice little wind down from the rest of the day. I wake up refreshed and have started being able to jump out of bed at my first alarm happily since i've been taking this. Highly recommend (...as long as you can tolerate not being too picky about flavor..)

smells like wet dog food to be exact lol
Tried it for the first time yesterday. Awful smell, smells like wet dog food to be exact lol. But the taste isn't bad at all. My friend who is vegan said to try the vegan version next time, so I think I will go with that next time. Overall though, haven't noticed anything yet, but have only tried it once, so we will see after I work out today. I do really like their Super Greens supplement too, I noticed a change right away and felt more awake and replenished.

Tastes good but provided to noticable benifits for us
Because one person’s physiology can differ widely from another my wife and I have both been using this tea for the last two weeks so that we might have a slightly broader usage base to review this product. What I can say is that neither of us has noticed any improvement nor can we say that we’ve experienced any real benefit. The tea does have a minty flavour/scent which is nice and if I noticed any benefit it would be that my sinuses may be less stuffed up. I say may be because if there indeed is an effect it has been very subtle. The flavour is nice enough, nothing objectionable or off putting. It looks like warm watered down milk which is not a bad thing, I’m just mentioning what it looks like. It does make a nice tasting beverage. From a contents perspective I like that everything is organic, for you vegans it will also fit into your diet, and that Stevia is used to sweeten rather than cane sugar which has carbs. The suggested ratio for mixing seems off, it suggests one scoop in 10-12 ounces of water. Now considering this is suggested as a beverage to be consumed prior to bed time that’s a fair bit of water to be throwing into the digestive system. This is the reason my wife started objecting to it use, for her the TBS (tiny bladder syndrome) kicks in and she ends up having to get up in the middle of the night. After about a week she changed to halving the suggested mix ratio.Other reviewers have mentioned that the pea protein drops to the bottom of the cup, I don’t have an issue with this, simply stir the tea. In a smoothie the protein is held in suspension because of the other contents so it’s no surprise that here it would separate. For healing, there really isn’t enough of any one thing in the mix which will do much to aid healing if this is all you take. It might provide some additional elements and act as an adjunct but on its own, there’s not much your body can do with the amount taken. Given that this is not a cheap product I personally have a hard time reconciling the cost vs. benefits ratio especially after sensing no real effects after two weeks. This is what my wife and I have experienced and I fully expect that others could and would have a different experience. It’s hard to nail down whether a product like this has real benefits with such a limited base of participants so I can only provide limited feedback. I am still giving this 3 1/2 stars, one half because I do sense that there is some minor relief from stuffy sinuses which I experience and three because we experienced nothing negative while using it.Based on the above I would have a hard time recommending and then justifying it to someone else.

Excellent, sweet peppermint chai flavour; no odd aftertaste or chalkiness.
As I'm not a scientist or doctor I won't engage in speculation on any medicinal qualities of this product. What I can and will comment on is product prep and taste: in a word, GREAT!This supplement powder is extremely concentrated; the scoop contained in the bag measures out a small amount which dissolves cleanly in hot water. (stir thoroughly to avoid lumps in the bottom of the cup)The taste is exactly what you'd hope for: a sweet, peppermint chai, and quite strong. (dilute to taste) I enjoyed the sweetness but some might find it overly sweet (dilute as needed). No aftertaste (unless you consider "pleasant, peppermint breath" an aftertaste) and no chalky residue, unless you didn't stir, or used water that wasn't hot enough.I would certainly get this again, probably sooner than later as when I had some at work, my coworkers came to my cubicle asking for their own mug of it. (of note: we did not fall asleep at our desks after drinking it, supporting the claim it doesn't cause drowsiness.)

Love the taste, don't like the consistency.
****** Quick Rating ******Pros:- Tastes wonderful.- Vegan (no animal ingredients).- Includes a measuring scoop.Cons:- Settles to the bottom of the cup quickly.***************************This review will be based on my experience with drinking this product, but I cannot validate whether it works well as a sports recovery product. This product is powdered and it comes in an attractive package. The top of the package can be ripped open cleanly without needing to use scissors, and it has a resealable top (like a freezer bag). The powder itself is very fine, light in color, and smells minty. You get a measuring scoop in the package, which gives you an exact serving size. You are supposed to drink this like tea, so I usually boil some water, let it cool a bit and add it a cup with the powder already on the bottom.I stir it with a spoon and it seems to mix well, but I find that after a few minutes it settles to the bottom.Still, the flavor is wonderful - like mint chai tea. It's sweetened with stevia but has a nice amount of sweetness to it.Overall, I'm mostly happy with this product, and if it does what it's supposed to do (help with recovery), then I would gladly continue using it.** Disclosure: I received this product free or at a discount in exchange for my honest review.

Rip Off!
I tried this a few nights to see how it would go. I found that the peppermint taste was way too strong, and knocked out the chai flavor, which may have been nicer. It took more effort than I would've liked to mix. Once mixed, it was visually unappetizing; it looked like pouring milk into water. It definitely looked like 20 cal lol. After having a couple very active days, I was hopeful that this would help with recovery, as it states. I didn't really see any of that, and if you look at the back of the package, there's not a lot listed that would help with recovery (lacking in vitamins, minerals, etc.). 3g of protein isn't much.It seemed to help with relaxation a bit, but it could also have just been the calming effects of a hot drink before bed. It's also a very small bag. The unholy price of $40 for this little bag that really does nothing is a waste of money. I'm SO glad I got this product for free in exchange for an honest review, because I'd otherwise be pretty PO'd lol.

Pleasant taste but nutrition density is too low for the cost
I'm really into health, diet and nutrition and I was fortunate enough to be able to sample two of these Paleoethics powders. This one is a peppermint chai tea with pea protein that is marketed as a night-time recovery supplement, with green proteins to aid in muscle recovery. I wanted to love this, I really did, but a few things got in the way of me giving it a high score. But first the things I like:-It mixes easily in hot water-It tastes pleasant and smells delicious, with mint being the main aromatic flavour and a strong, sweet stevia taste too.It has zinc and magnesium; both minerals that I take daily already in the form of ZMA tablets. But here's what held me back from loving this:-You have to keep mixing it every few minutes to avoid ending up with a small amount of unpleasant sludge when you get to the bottom. I know this is just the pea protein and if I thought it was doing me the world of good I wouldn't care at all but it's something to note. It's marketed as a recovery supplement to aid in muscle recovery thanks to the pea protein, but a serving only provides 3g of protein. That's very little. A typical body building enthusiast or athlete needs ten times that amount of protein, several times per day. So taking this before bed after an intense workout that day will likely do very little, if anything, for muscle recovery. The zinc and magnesium content in a portion is much less than what a single ZMA tablet provides for only a few cents per pill (and ZMA has B6 too which this doesn't).According to the nutritional info on the back, apart from the magnesium and zinc I mentioned above, this only gives you 4% of your iron requirement, 3g of protein and nothing else beneficial at all.The price of $43 (with tax) is just too much for what this provides nutritionally. I think at $1.43 per serving it should be more nutrient-dense.For me it really comes down to two things:1. Does this do what it claims to do, that is, function as an effective recovery supplement for post-exercise muscle repair? No, I don't believe there is enough nutrition to make a perceivable difference.2. Is this worth the high price? No, I really don't think what this offers you is worth the cost. A scoop of bulk pea protein powder and a ZMA tablet would give you many times more nutrition for less cost per serving. And if you like mint tea it can be had for cents per cup. I want to say I appreciate what this product is trying to offer but I can't help but think that this particular product is just the same as so many supplements in the health and sport industries; nicely packaged, overpriced fluff that offers very little in terms of health benefits.
