Not Perfect, But a Very Good Looking Knife with Quality Features.
Beautifully designed from an aesthetic view point although the black handle doesn't do full justice to it. I've seen the knife with a brass hued titanium handle and the architectural design really pops. Of course such a tricked out knife costs a whole lot more than this one. I'm looking for one with an aluminum or stainless steel handle that, of course, isn't black and no where near as expensive as the $1,000 + custom titanium models I've seen.Sticking with the handle, it feels (at least to me) a little too light, and just on the border of "too cheap plastic." I do think it also creates a slight balance problem with the blade when open. These are relatively minor issues and with this price point and the positive attributes of the knife, I'm still giving it a 5 Star rating. Given a decimal rating scale I would rate it 4.7 or 4.8.The blade on my knife is razor sharp without any added honing, and, again, I love it's looks. The big plus is how smoothly the blade opens and closes. Although it's not an Assisted Opening knife, it might just as well be, since 95% of the time it only takes a slightly firm flick of the index finger and the blade snaps to an open & fixed position. I feel confident that with continued usage, I'll get that rate up to 99.9%. I love the CRKT button lock feature, and I also think that with a little more practice I'll be able to consistently close the knife with a push of the button and slight turn of the wrist.I don't care if a knife is made in China as long as the quality is good. Obviously they have artisans working there too. However a knife made in China will usually cost a good bit less than one made here, and in this case the knife's place of origin allows a lot of Americans to afford a a very good looking and operating knife.

Not 5/5 but amazing!
The ergonomics are a bit odd, but it's still comfortable in the hand none the less. The button you press to release the blade is very smooth and feels very sturdy, the blade does come pretty sharp out of box ! BE WARNED, I had to ask for a replacement because the first one they sent me kept locking in the open position due to the button refusing to work. Other then that my replacement has been nothing but reliable!

A surprisingly nice knife for the money
The Tighe Tac 2 is a great knife and one that I love to use on a daily basis.Pros: Great factory edge Sharpens quickly and easily Light weight Very comfortable handle Extremely smooth ball bearingsCons: Detent is too light to give a confident "filp" of the blade when opening. Large thumb studs can cause damage to items in pocket (like smart phone screens) if knife not clipped.Because of the two less positive factors on this knife (detent and thumb studs), this knife is not a part of my EDC, but it has found a spot on my desk and is used every day to peel/slice fruit and veg for lunch, slice open mail and break down boxes. When the edge loses it razor sharp edge, I can quickly bring it back to shaving sharp with a ceramic hone. The ball bearings are extremely smooth and I love how I can close the knife with just a push of the lock button and just a tiny movement in my wrist. In all, this is a fantastic blade and it brings great pleasure to use for day to day tasks.

Really nice.....now.
After an initial incident, which led to a complete tear down, cleaning, greasing and oiling, I really like this knife. After I happen to see this on YouTube from both, The Nick Shabazz and BirdShot IV, I thought I'd snag one up. When I first took it out of the box and flipped it open a couple of times, I thought it odd that it had this weird "ting" kind of sound to it along with a vibration. However, it worked nicely. A couple of flipps later the button and spring popped right out. That's when I noticed it was also completely dry. (Which explained the "ting" and vibration.) So I took it all apart, slathered the button and spring with grease, cleaned and oiled all other parts and reassembled it. It's been working great since. I still really recommend this knife. For the price you really can't go wrong. Just beware of the "ting"!!! Actually I'd recommend just pulling it immediately apart and check for some good thick grease under and in the button.

No better knife to me, and DEFINITELY no better for the money.
This is THE perfect EDC for me. I always loved the Milwaukee razors, and this feels very familiar to those action-wise. The steel is high quality, the knife comes very sharp, and it holds its edge well. There have been no sharp edges on the handle like I've seen in other reviews, and I have fairly large hands. The lock is VERY strong and has never once failed on me. Also, if you are good at sharpening knives, you can get this one RAZOR sharp because of the angles of the knife. I have mine down to 17 degrees (carry a 25 degree cheaper knife as well, for rougher work, though this one could do it without changing the angle) and it is cutting like a high-end chef's knife. I could not recommend this knife enough, and cannot believe the price it is offered at. It is because of this knife that my loyalty to CRKT has grown so profound.

Stylish Lightweight Pocket Knife
First of all, I have owned previous CRKT EDC knives. This knife is a slick little devil, but the feel in the hand is light. It functions fine, and the assembly is good. There is no blade play, and the blade lock is firm. It is quick to open by flipping. The blade itself was not perfect out of the box. It has two very small nicks on the cutting surface. I can overlook these, but the quality of blade final honing needs to be examined. Overall, for the price, you have an eye -catching lightweight knife that functions well.
