Great item, good price
Bought two of these fans for the excellent price of just under £100 the pair - the company, comf-tech, only had six left, and today I see that a single fan is on offer on Amazon for £99, so I got a good deal there. Was given a delivery date by Amazon of August 5th, in fact the fans arrived less than 24 hours after I ordered them, so hats off to comf-tech.Fan is easy to assemble, little bit of fiddling required to get the flex to come out of the back of the base, but OK when I'd figured it out. It looks good compared with the white desk fan I was using before, and even at the lowest setting, it circulates the air beautifully. The remote control is a nice touch. The fan seems quiet in operation (my desk fan squeaked and was quite noisy), but I wouldn't use the breeze setting if I was trying to get to sleep, as the change in noise level can be annoying. The timer facility could be useful if you just want to cool the room down until you fall asleep. All in all, seems like an excellent product, and should anything go wrong, there's a 3-year warranty.

I have used this tower fan for around a month now and it is preforming very nicely, the remote control is very responsive and the settings it provides are just what you need. the lowest fan speed is fairly quiet and the quickest fan speed blows a whole load of air but does produce a fair amount of sound (not abrasive though). The base is connected to the main tower part of the fan by gravity which if prodded around may become quite unstable and wobble around. It wont wobble when still and on, even when on osculation mode. The plastic material does feel fairly cheap but is not too bad since it is fairly well manufactured. -1 stars because of stand and materials but 4 stars because of reliability, manuafture standard and the design. - great performer - great value.Edit: 6 Months later... Still working great! I use it almost every day and the batteries that came with the remote still work. The quality of air flow produced is still great! However... It is also still quite noisy. still 4*s from me.

Great value and a great product
Great fan. As I had worked for another well-known manufacturer of fan's (British and expensive), I was convinced that a cheaper one would be rubbish and was about to fork-out £150+ for one of the designer fans. But after a look on Amazon I found this one and thought that at £50 it was too much of a bargain to pass up (especially as I have a normal £10 desk fan that has lasted me over 12 years now and works perfectly). It has not been regretted. The fan is as quiet as can be for a motor moving air around (i.e. not silent, but not like a vacuum cleaner). The power settings give a good range and there is a nice breeze function that instead of a solid stream of air, pulses it. The remote is also a welcome addition for a product in this price-bracket.The only down-side of the product is that beep that is produced when you press any button - not ideal when used in the bedroom whilst others are asleep (although this will soon be removed with some home modifications).

Best Fan Ever!
This is the sturdiest and most hardworking fan that you could ever hope to own. I bought it in 2010, when I was living in London, because we had a breath of summer - it did it's job, and did it well, for the 3 weeks or so it was needed. It's lightweight - I'd frequently move it around the house, and even into the garden - and I love the remote control, plus the timer is very useful. Since then, I've moved to Kuala Lumpur, in Malaysia, and I shipped this little gem - and the rest of my worldly goods - with me. For the last 3 years, it's been sitting outside on my covered balcony, and it still works like it's brand new. I can't say how impressed I am with the hardiness and effectiveness of this, and I can't recommend it highly enough. It's survived 2 different climates, and a 3 month sea trip, and still - after all this time - works like new. Kudos to the manufacturers for an excellent product.

Worked ok for the first night and then died!!
Unfortunately - when the fan arrived - the outer packing was somewhat damaged, which should have been the first warning sign. Upon assembling (which was very easy) the fan worked ok for the first night, though it did make a bit of a clunking/rattling sound. But all in all - it was pretty good. Second night, went to switch the fan on and it just died. So 12 hours of relief in this heat only and no functioning fan. Have replaced the Honeywell with the Bionair, which was actually cheaper, more stylish and it maybe my imagination, but a little bit quieter, but maybe that is because it doesn't clunk. But, so far so good.
