This juicer replaced. Siemens citrus juicer which gave long, excellent service. The Siemens has a high speed button to use at the end to force the last. It of juice from the debris in the “ sieve “ This left the mush relatively dry and easy to tip out. The Smeg does not have this feature and I feel that quite a bit of juice is wasted and it is less easy to dispose of debris. This aside, it looks good, is quiet and works well.

Motor not up to the task. Not fit for purpose purchased.
Beautiful design, stopped working on second orange! There is a contradiction in the instructions. I downloaded the user guide from the SMEG website before purchasing. That just states "Do not use the citrus juicer for long time. The motor could overheat! " The leaflet in the product as purchased stated "do not use for more than 3 minutes, allow to cool for 15 minutes". Frankly it is an excellent product spoiled by a motor that is not up to the task and makes the product useless unless you just want to get the juice from a single fruit. We planned to use it for marmalade making and realise it is not up to that task. Pity really as it looked very nice. I am sad that a quality manufacturer such as SMEG has produced a product for looks and not functionality. Fortunately Amazon makes a return quick and easy so it is now packed ready for return and refund.

I juice a lot of citrus for cooking and drinks and this looks so cute and stylish in the kitchen but it is super easy to use and clean as well! Takes the hard work out of making lime juice and I can juice dozens of limes in minutes and extract more of the precious juices without waste. Expensive but wonderful tool for kitchen needs if you do a lot of juicing.

The SMEG Juicer is top notch. Fast, easy to use and clean up is as simple as it gets. It sits out on our counter as the size is compact and it's appearance is appealing. Value for the money is A+. We will definitely be adding more SMEG appliances to our kitchen.
