Philips CD-RW 80MIN Blank Disc x 5 Jewel Case 700MB 4-12 X Speed

I wanted a little colour variety as I'd previously bought a massive pack of CD's and found that while they were great, I preferred a little difference. These have lovely casings, and the CD's record nicely, only problem I have is said casings tend to struggle to stay closed and can quite easily pop open, so I'd be careful with handling them, but aside from that their vibrance and quality was perfect for me :)

I acquired these in order to transfer to pen drives a great deal of music currently on vinyl records or cassettes. I have a music centre for this purpose. The CDs can then be transferred to pen drives via a computer programme. The whole process is time consuming but worth it in the end. Of course, the recorded CDs can also be played through a CD player.

Like many, I am interested in breathing some life into a largely unused CDRW equipped radios. Three actually, car, caravan & boat. I hedged, and bought 5 Philips & 5 Verbatim CD-RW data-disks. All 5 Verbatim, so far perform flawlessly. 2 of the Philips have given trouble from the get-go. After writing, they verify perfectly up to over the 90% mark - so the problem is on the outer edge of the disks - then throw up read errors. I'm left with the impression that Philips just slapped its name on some unknown-brand disk. The ones that play right, work in all three radio's, when written as both mp3 data disks and audio disks. From this, I get the impression that only really old CD players will have problems with data disks being used as audio disks. As for Philips' old-new stock CD's, I won't be buying more - better the devil you know, and Verbatim disks are at least reputable.

functions fine, not much else to say. Good discs. Not a single pen I own will work on these.

What else can I say. They're CDs, they work like CDs and the casings are just normal plastic cases that you get with CDs. They work a charm and at the rated speed.

The CDs are. Very useful because of the colors so that you know which genre of music you have burned on a CD.
